Blabbersmithe
The Blabbersmithe. This thing is one of my very oldest creations, I made it up in second grade to explain to my teacher what had happened to my homework. The Blabbersmithe (blabbersmithie, pl.) is a carnivorous plant that inhabits the Terran Swamp (oxymoron, I know). It has radial symetry, with long black tentacles covered in hooks and bearing claws at the ends. The tentacles are app. 5 feet in length and four inches wide, and they're leathery and flat. The hooks are tipped with poison that makes the victim laugh uncontrollably, just before they're sucked into the smith's mouth. What's the mouth? In the center of the tentacles (which have no set number, but range usually from 10 to 30) there is a diamond-shaped mouth that is split into four parts that open and close. Each mouth part has sharp, small teeth as well as spikes on the inside of the mouth. The inside is a bright red, the outside a darkish green. On the outside of the mouth parts are heat-sensory organs, which open to sense the body heat and/or movement of organisms (yes, I got this from Tremors 2..hehe). On the bottom of the smith, beneath the mouth, is a sort of pouch equipped with a myriad of suction cups. The pouch is actually the thing's stomach, where it digests etc. The suction cups allow the smith to climb on virtually anything. The smith is most often found in small colonies. They sit still with their tentacles spread wide and have their mouths open to absorb sunlite as well as attract prey. The color of the inside of the mouth is alluring, it is unnatural and has been the death of many biologists, who, in advancing towards the color, step on a tentacle and begin to laugh, eventually being eaten. Smiths are vunerable to fire and disease, just like other plants, although they exhibit many animal-like characteristics. |

Relah
This is pretty much just a flock-bird that has offshoots/variations throughout Pink Country, the Red Isles and the entire Eastern Archipelego, as well as the eastern half of the Vosh Plateau. They are small, live in flocks, and are mainly terrestrial. They have feet adapted to walk on the ground, as well as a prehensile tail. Don't as about the tail. hehe |

Oati
The Oati is a solitary creature that can be found in the lush forests of Violet, Blue and Green Country. It stands about three feet tall, has a long neck and two long legs and a short tail. It's head is round and it has huge bug-like eyes, and is completely covered in a thick coat of long shaggy hair. Good eatin', them oati! |

Triangle Bug
Triangle bug. *shudder* This critter is modeled after this bug that I found crawling on our picnic table. These bugs live in hives of hundreds. They are tiny, a little bit bigger than a pin-head. They are triangle shaped and have neon green legs and tiny spots on their shells. They're easily killed, but due to their numbers, they truly are Pure Evil. I once spent 5 hours outside at a barbeque squishing these things, and even after I'd killed over 400 there were still more *double shudder* |

Veto Bug
Let me give you the Veto Essay (I made this critter up in life-science in 7th grade, give me some credit): The Veto bug is specially designed for the destruction of the et値ink vine. LIFE-STYLE: The Veto bug is a colonizing bug, each nest containing up to 1050 insects. Each of four types of Veto bugs have a different job, much live an ant colony. Their nest is always situated beneath and around a large patch of et値ink vine, their only food. Veto Queen: Each colony contains a maximum of two Queens. As with ants, the Queen(s) are/is responsible for the growth of the colony. The Queen is catered for by workers. The Queen looks identical to a worker, aside from her large, soft, egg-laying abdomen which is longer then the rest of her body. The large egg-sack is so heavy that it renders her immobile. The Veto Queen feeds mostly on et値ink vine roots, which both nourish her and kill off the vine. Worker: The worker's job is to dig for the growth of the colony. It's spoon-like claws aid in the process, and as it digs, it eats the dirt, and later disposes it in a waste-cavity deep in the colony perimeters. Certain workers are responsible for feeding the Queen. Others are responsible for transporting et値ink leaves and flowers to the 'Food Room', where large amounts of vine material is kept. Guarder: The guarder has a fast-paced, risky life. guarders are located on the et値ink, near the entrance to the nest, or flying around the nesting area. Their job is to guard the nest and it's inhabitants from the Relah, the Veto's main predator. As the guarders patrol the area, the also remove dead or dying Veto's from the area, so new ones may replace them. When a guarder spots a relah incoming, approximately on third of the on-duty guarders rush to the bird, leaving the others to defend the nest against other foes. When they reach the bird, many of them are eaten. But because of their small size, they are hard to catch in mid-air. They bury themselves into the bird's skin, and begin to inject a paralyzing venom straight into the blood stream. When the stunned relah begins to fall, the guarders de-attach themselves and fly back to the nest. The Vetos will only attack if the albatross is within certain perimeters. Harvesters: The harvesters, once they are hatched (see below), remain on the stalk of the vine for the rest of their short but important lives. Their specially designed legs and feet allow them to cling to the vine, and inch up and down without removing their legs from the stalk. Their sole purpose is to eat the vine, them after a day's work, they slowly slide down the vine to an entrance located at the base of each stalk, and regurgitate three fourths of the plant matter they have consumed that day. The last third is used for their personal nutrition. LIFE-CYCLE: The Veto bug begins it's life cycle as a purple egg case, designed to appear like a et値ink flower bud. The eggs are laid within the nest, but harvesters bring selected eggs out to the vines to become more harvesters. Other eggs remain in the nest to become workers or guarders. Like Honeybees, the larva are fed special jelly to change the outcome of the larva. The eggs that do not receive any jelly become harvesters. After being fed a jelly or not, the larva spins a pupa, which resembles the three-pointed leaf of the et値ink vine. After one week, the pupa hatches to it's destined form (see above). |

Fequine
Fequine? Mix a lion and a horse! The front part has lion's paws, and a lion's head and mane, yet has the upright posture of a horse. The mane wraps around it's neck and across it's back. It's tail is a mix of a horse's tail and a cat's tail (go fig) The Fequines live in "herds" consisting of a dominant male and his mate, and the yearlings and young of the current year. |

3-Eyed Koala
The...what's next...ah yes! My favorite! The 3-Eyed Koala!! It doesn't have a good name yet, but for now, they're called three-eyes. Three eyes inhabit the forests of Violet and Pink Country. Their behavior is exactly like that of Earth's Koala, just exchange eucalyptus (I think I spelled that right) for Canahigh...hehehehe....meaning...they're extremely fidgetty and EVIL. |

Intz
Inzt are cute little fox-like guys with huge ears (think cabbit) and scaly two-toed legs. They live in the Quin Desert and burrow into the sand. Relatively intelligent. They get rid of body heat through their ears. |

Krelli
The Krelli are native to Green Country, the Terran Swamps, and the tropical environment of Sunsnest Penninsula. These things resemble Earth-Lemurs. They are the same size, and their colors depend on where they are, of course ;) The only difference between the Krelli and Lemurs is that the Krelli are more reptillian and birdlike. Instead of fur, they have fluffy feathers. Instead of a fluffy monkey tail they had a scaled dragon's tail with a plume of brilliantly colord feathers at the end. The Krelli eat fruit, leaves, bark and bugs. They have close relatives throughout the western and northern countries, including the Skelki in Blue Country (this version has small forearms, and stronger back legs for hopping from ledge to ledge in the mountains, and shorter tails to conserve heat), the Purple Cet in Purple and Pink Country (this one has wings and no tail). |
