So here it is, my new home. Claremont McKenna College is located in Claremont, California. Claremont is a quaint little town with cottage-style houses and white picket fences. I, of course, live in the dorms. My home sweet home is Stark Hall, one of the South Quad towers.
What I've learned in college so far:
Living with lots of people is lots of fun
Books are expensive!
Buy your books online. Period.
How to make a bookshelf out of a crate
Naps are good. Very good.
4 a.m. comes so quickly
How to turn my alarm off from my bed even though it's lofted
No one will wake you up if your alarm doesn't go off
How to make Rice Krispies cookies in a rice cooker
"Party" translates to a bunch of people standing around a keg
Eight people can fit into a car
Wal-Mart. You can buy anything there.
Quarters are gold
If you leave your laundry in the laundry room for more than an hour you may never see it again.
I actually kind of like having morning classes
There's nothing like talking to people who really know you.
It's all about improvisation.
Time flies between Friday afternoon and Sunday night.
I love tea.
Living in North Quad is so much better than South Quad.
Living with good friends if so much fun!
You always need alone time.
Do not try to do everything or you will end up doing nothing.
Sometimes you can't get everything done.
