Cheats

Eliminately cheats was a primary focus of Diablo II. To begin with, the networking code has been reworked as a client-sided setup. This means that (if you are playing on a "Realm" server) the information about your character is stored on the servers, instead of on your computer, like in Diablo I. This will prevent hackers from having the time to work on the files, find how they are constructed, and how to reprogram (or hack) them. Of course this also means that if (or should we say- when) a hacker foolish succeeds in hacking a Realm character, it is only a matter of days before he is detected and his characters all erased. Then the Blizzard techs can sit down and make a patch for the new "error" the hacker pointed out for them.

Trading

Trading works differently on Diablo II than it did in the first game. A special interface screen has been designed, in order to ensure that nobody gets ripped off. To trade simply click on another character while in town, and if they wish to trade with you, a screen for viewing selected items appears. This is also a good way to see other player's items, and let them see yours, without the risk of them keeping your items permenently. (Just make sure you only click "accept" if you intend to part with your items.)

Orginially b.net was hoping to add special "trading channels" where items could be left in the channel itself. However, this has not happened, and most likely never will, due the attempt to prevent lag and server spilts. There are channels for finding those who wish to trade though.

Guild Leader

Empress Khandaras, also known as, KittieKatt is the Celestial Eclipse guild leader. (However, she promises to allow voting in her guild, so that you all have a say in how things are done, including the election of a new Guild Master should she fail in her duties.)
