RevelCon
When:
Second Weekend in March.
Where: Houston, Texas, USA.
Type: Multi fandom and zines.
Description: Closed membership: no tickets sold at the door. If
it is fannish, REVELcon has it ... regardless of preference. Fanzines galore for those who
like zines as well as a laid back atmosphere for those who just came for a relaxing
fannish weekend. It has gen, adult, slash, sf, fantasy, and media zines. Run by Friends of
Fandom.
ConneXions

When: Last
day of March, first day of April, on a weekend.
Where: Sheraton Columbia Hotel, Columbia, Maryland, USA.
Type: Slash, multi fandom.
Description: Adult. Limited membership. Programming includes:
videos, discussions groups, games, art show and auction, Saturday night song vid show, a
charity auction.
APRIL
Highlander Down Under
When:
Second Weekend in APRIL.
Where: Hotel Mercure, Brisbane, Australia.
Type: Highlander.
Description: Guests, autograph sessions, panels, Q&A
sessions, video programming, merchandise, and more. Run by The HLDU Club.
MAY
MediaWest Con
When: Held
during the last weekend in May over the
Memorial Day Weekend, US, (Friday through
Monday, but come for the pre con activities on
Thursday afternoon and evening). Memorial Day,
US, is the last Monday of May and the convention is
held over the previous weekend.
Where: Lansing, Michigan, USA.
Type: Media and Science Fiction.
Description: Closed membership: no tickets sold at the door.
Adult oriented, but children are welcome. This is a media and fanzine convention: all
fandoms are welcome. It is one of the few conventions that encourages people to bring
their pets. This is a fan convention; there are no guests. There is a dealers' room, video
rooms, and lots of panels. Run by T'Kutchian Press.
JUNE
The Annual TS Get-Together, hosted by
the Nightowl, in Toronto
When:
June -- exact weekend to be announced later.
Where: Downtown Toronto, Canada, at Nightowl's place.
Type: Sentinel fandom and zines.
Description: Registration cost is $5 Canadian to cover costs of
incidentals and prizes. There will be the traditional Jim Meal and Blair Meal, dubbing
room, viewing, discussions, games and episode-themed door prizes.
JULY

First Weekend in July.
Where: Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
Type: Science Fiction.
Description: Guests, Dealers, Masquerade, Art Show, Science
Programming, Blood Drive, Children's Programming, Workshops, Klingon Feast.
InConJunction
When:
First Weekend in July.
Where: Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
Type: Science Fiction and media.
Description: Memberships are sold at the door. Guests, panels,
art show, dealers room, gaming, masquerade, filking, and more.
Rocky Mountain Media Con
When:
Third or Fourth Weekend in July.
Where: Denver, Colorado, USA.
Type: Gen and Slash, multi fandom and fanzines.
Description: Full weekend only memberships sold at the door.
Adults only. This is a media and fanzine convention: all fandoms are welcome. Dealers'
room with lots of fanzines, and a fanzine swap meet. Fanzine reading room -- it's like a
zine library, only the zines must be read there. The carnival-type "Pimp Your
Favorite Fandom" event will be held: where people can decorate a "booth"
they've pre-registered for with pictures, informational handouts, etc., about their
favorite fandom. Con Suite. Video room. Saturday night battle of the hunks.

OCTOBER
Zebra
Con
When:
First Weekend in October, on odd numbered years
Where: Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Type: Media, fanzine.
Description: Closed membership: no tickets sold at the door.
Adults only. Hosted by Zebra Con. Zebra Con has a limited membership of 300 people. It's a
small, warm convention, with the feel of a family reunion. It is a fan convention. Slash,
gen and adult zines are welcome. There is a dealers' room, panels, and video room. The
Saturday night banquet is a must. This is a media and fanzine convention: all fandoms are
welcome.
SentiCon
When:
First week in October, on even numbered years.
(It's on alternate years, opposite Zebra Con)
Next convention is: October 6-8, 2006.
Where: Radisson Airport Hotel, Grand Rapids, Michigan,
USA.
Type: Slash
oriented, multi fandom and fanzines.
All fandoms are welcome. Genners are welcome.
Description: Lots of varied panels, games, fun, episodes,
large dealers room, art show, video room and a weekend of fun and fellowship.
After hours fun includes scavenger hunts and games. Many fandoms of all types
are represented. Not a Trek convention, but Trek folk are always welcome.

The Sentinel Relax-a-Con
When:
Second Weekend in October.
Where: Landis Hotel and Suites in downtown Vancouver,
Canada.
Type: Sentinel fandom and zines.
Description: Activities will include a dinner meet-and-greet,
walking tours, episode-themed door prizes, games, discussions, viewing, dubbing. Although
there will not be a dealers room, people are welcome to sell zines and stuff from their
rooms.
ConStrict
When:
Last weekend in October.
Where: Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Pleasanton, California,
USA: Near San Francisco, California, USA.
Type: multimedia, slash but gen is welcome
Description: Activities include a Dealers' Room (with an Orphan
Zine Table), Art Show (with a print shop) and Auction; Programming; Music Video Contest;
Charity Carnival, Auction and Raffle; Costume Contest; and much more. This is a closed
convention: no memberships as sold at the door. Sponsored by Plastic Cow Productions.
NOVEMBER
EclectiCon
When:
First Weekend after the US Election Day in November
(US Election Day is the first Tuesday after the first
Monday in November. No, I don't know why it's
held that way, so don't ask me. <g>)
Where: Newark, NJ, near the Airport and across the river from
New York City.
Type: Multimedia and Fanzine.
Description: This is a media and fanzine convention: all fandoms
are welcome. This is one of the East Coast's largest media fanzine cons, focusing on
zines and the varied fandoms that inspire them. It's close to the Newark International
Airport. It's pet-friendly. Dealers room, art show, panels, and more.
BAScon
[San Francisco Bay Area slashers]
When:
First weekend in November.
Where: San Francisco, USA, at the Double Tree Hotel
in Burlingame
Type: Multi Media Slash convention.
Description: A multi-media slash convention by fans for fans.
Join the mailing list or send an e-mail to the sponsors for more information.
There will be adult panels, dealers' room, and an art show. There are meals, and a great
con suite. The convention will be held near SFO and San Francisco.
WindyCon
When:
Second Weekend in November.
Where: Hyatt Regency, Shaumburg, IL, near O'Hare Airport.
Type: SciFi and multi Media.
Description: Guests, art show, dealers' room, filking, films,
gaming, and more.
Visions
When:
November, over Thanksgiving weekend, US:
Thursday - Sunday.
Where: Chicago, Hyatt Regency, O'Hare Airport.
Type: Dr. Who, SciFi.
Description: There are numerous guests and a huge dealers room.
Autograph and photograph sessions, celebrity luncheon, Variety show (It's great!), audio
and limited video taping, gaming, costume contest, and panels. Although this convention is
primarily Dr. Who oriented, guests are from enough different British shows that it could
be better termed science fiction. Run by Her Majesty's Entertainment.
