Frank Druce (Ranheim) has been to the VA Hospital 3 times in the past year. Druce served in Mosul, northern Iraq in the Persian Gulf War, 4 days before an UFO was shot down. Druce was Special Operations Black Beret. The truckers manifest reads that the truck carried 108 auto-parts cartons of 3100 lbs, but 3 weigh stations give the weight of the truck 5100 lbs. When Scully presents this information to Mulder, it has been 4 days since the crash in the teaser. After they speak, Mulder asks to meet at Scully's place in one hour.

Subject: Response to Request for Information in Relation to UFO Contact and Other Related Information

To: Commanding Officer, Majestic Project, Pentagon

1. In January of 1993 I received a report from NATO surveillance station AC174 regarding an incident that took place over and near the Turkey/Iraq international boundary. At this time it would seem that an Iraqi Air Force pilot shot down an Unidentified Flying Object. The wreckage and remains of what were believed to be it's [sic] occupant were recovered by Army crash recovery teams.
The reports is in two parts, ie;
a. official report made to base commanding officer, United States NATO firces Hakkari, Turkey and,
b. U.S. and allied intelligence gathered by undisclosed and classified sources* within Iraq.

2. Iraqi Air Force pilot, Maj. Sadoun Janadi, flying a TupelovTV-22 jet on routine border patrol six made visual contact of U.F.O. at a distance of 25 miles in a forward but changing position. The pilot described the object as bright cigar shaped object with no distinguished markings.

3. Iraqi radar stations initially could not verify objects on their screens.

4. Object momentarily disappeared, then buzzed the patrol's position at an extremely high speed. At this time positive radar contact was made from the ground and an alert was immediately given that the aircraft was under attack by several bogies. At this time the pilot locked on his weapons and launched an Air-to-Air missile. The Pilot declared a hit on his radar that was confirmed on the ground. The U.F.O. crashed immediately after the hit and disappeared from the pilot's view on the Turkey side of the border, near Hakkari.

5. U.S. radar station at Hakkari confirmed a crash both on screen and visually and crash recovery teams were sent to the site immediately.

6. The wreckage of the crashed craft were recovered by U.S. Army recovery teams, along with well preserved specimens believed to be occupants. The corpses have not been identified, and are believed to be Extraterrestrial Biological Entities.

7. All personnel have been sequestered and are undergoing debriefing procedure. Wreckage and occupants have been requisitioned by Project Majestic and have been removed from the area.

A. I made visual contact with a craft of unidentified origin at the eleven-o-clock position slightly higher than me.
Q. Did the object have any markingd [sic]?
A. Not that I could see.
Q. What was it's [sic] shape?
A. Sort of...well kind of like a cigar.
Q. Did it have any lights?
A. Very bright. Brighter than any anti-collision lights I've seen.
Q. Could you make out any color?
A. No, not really.
Q. Did you report this sighting to your command?
A. Yes

A. Immediately.
Q. Did you ask for verification?
A. Yes. Immediately. Ground radar could not pick up the object even though it was only twenty-five miles away.
Q. What happened next?
A. Ground command radar then picked up multiple craft bearing down on my position and alerted me that I was under attack.
Q. Were you fired upon?
A. No. I was strafed and locked on my weapons to fire.
Q. Were you given the command to fire?
A. No. As I said I was assuming defensive action.
Q. Did your missile record a hit?
A. Yes.
Q. Was this hit confirmed?
A. Yes. Both my aircraft's radar recorder and by ground radar.
Q. Did you visually see the hit?
A. No.
Q. Did you see the object go down?
A. I caught a piece of it out of the corner of my perifery [sic] as it descended.
Q. Did you see the object crash?
A. Negative.
