THE DUNGEON LABYRINTH
"The Main Dungeon"
You push the tapestry to the side. As you do, you notice that it's a picture of a person standing in an open field. There is a white house to the west with the door boarded up. There is a mailbox in front. There is something very familiar about the scene..... Shaking your head, you take a candle from the nearby wall sconce and start down. After climbing down winding moss covered, narrow stone steps you arrived at a large iron door. Pushing with all your might, you force it open wide enough to squeeze past. Immediately the door slams shut with a clanging sound that would make the Gates of Hell envious. The reverbrating noise makes the rats, scorpions and other denizens scurry away back into their holes and corners where they stare at you with their luminescent eyes. You realize you can no longer hear the boisterous sounds coming from the Great Hall, and logic tells you no one would hear you either. Only the sounds of dripping water and the chittering of vermin can be heard. Your guttering candle you brought from the Hall reveals a large, empty room made of tightly fitted stone with an iron door to the north and a small arched hallway with a wooden door to the south. There are powerful runes of binding carved on all the walls, and the archways around each door. On the floor in front of the north door, carved into the worn stone flooring is a large pentagram within a circle. Each point of the pentagram has a rune. You wonder what form of mystic demon spawn this cell was made to hold? You now regret leaving your main weapon and shield back in the great hall. Your hand slips to the pommel of your dagger and its feel gives you some reassurance. There is an unseen sinister presence in this room.
DO YOU....
Try to go back the way you came to the north?
OR...
Take the arched hallway to the south?
