We talked to Neal Shusterman, the scriptwriter for the first two Animorphs TV episodes, recently. He told us lots
"They haven't settled on the episode names yet. The first two episodes, however will be the plot of the first book. of new information. Here it is:
We intend to stay fairly close to the plots in the books. Not sure how many episodes have been ordered for the first season. Probably an order of 12-15, extendable to 24, if the series is successful, which I'm sure it will be."
The show will be taped in/near Toronto, Canada, Neal tells me. He isn't sure when auditions will begin, but it will probably be sometime this fall. As with the Goosebumps TV show, it'll probably only be Canadians that can be in the show. Here is more from Neal:
"The series, for the first year will closely follow the books, but episodes won't necessarily be the books. That is to say, episode three won't necessarily be book 2, it may be just part of it, or part of another book -- it depends on what ends up working best. The basic continuing story, however will be followed as it is in the books."
