down the lonely road.
The seasons have changed,
and my heart has grown cold.
Warm memories are fleeting,
The day is at end,
and just up ahead,
is another big bend.
I think back in time,
of all the long roads.
Over hills and thru dales,
and long dusty trails.
The journey's been long,
and some of it dark.
I need to pull over,
to rest and to park.
A long rest would help,
my cold heart to warm,
and make my soul healthy,
to weather the storm.
The storm I will find,
and wont have to seek.
A storm that could concore me,
if I were weak.
I know I will triump.
I know I will win.
The journeys my life
and I can't let it end.
Bright days are ahead,
full of sunshine and glee.
Warm heart and strong soul,
and no misery.
I feel in my heart,
the trip soon will turn,
to deliver me somewhere,
my heart truly yearns.
To meet a "sweet" friend,
who has warmth in her heart.
To hold her and kiss her,
till I have to part.
And then at that time,
if it's meant to be.
She'll join me in travel,
through eternity.
