The Orb Clearing

As you approach the small clearing, you see that there is a unicorn standing in it. He is unusual, for he is not white, but a soft grey. The unicorn is staring intently into a crystal orb, which rests upon a delicate and finely crafted stand in the center of the clearing.

"Greetings, Vallie," calls Silvanon.

The unicorn looks up and says patiently, "Again, titles are not necessary. My name is Eilliath."

"You know I just like to tease you," Silvanon says, and gives the unicorn an affectionate hug. She then turns to you and points towards the orb. "This is a focus for magic of sight and storytelling. Of course, as you are a stranger to this land, its use to you will be limited, but it can tell you a few stories."
