Kingdom Come Status: Superman has been in solitude for a long time. When The Joker came to Metropolis and killed 94 people from the Daily Planet, including Lois Lane. Magog, who was one of the new more violent "heroes" killed the Joker. There was a trial and Superman testified against Magog, but Magog was aquited. People said that Superman was no longer useful. They had chosen Magog as their new champion. When Ma and Pa Kent and Lois Lane died Superman went into the Fortress of Solitude and stayed there for ten years and also began calling himself Kal-el, his birth name. When Magog and his Justice Batalion hunted down the Parasite, he begged for mercy but they showed him none. Parasite panicked and split open Captain Atom. The radiation was like an atom bomb. Wonder Woman tried to convince Superman to come back and help stop Magog. Superman declined saying "I tried to tell them he was crazy years ago."
A few days later Superman made his triumphant return, defeating a group of the "new heroes" in the blink of an eye. Superman helped reform the new Justice League. This story convinces me why Superman is my favorite comic book character.
