Call of the Howling Wolf and Sign of the Falling Star

The knowledge of past omens as well as the means to interpret future omens and visions is complied in the oral tradition of the Almec (The People of The Lord and Lady). Only shamans of the Whispering Spirit and the Howling Wolf are taught the sacred chants and prayers that contain the knowledge. All Almec are aware of the importance of omens, however, and any seemingly important omen or vision is reported to the tribe's shaman immediately. Shamans of the Whispering Spirit and the Howling Wolf are obeyed without question because their orders are usually given in response to a prophecy.
