My View of Wicca

I have studied Wicca for on and off for 8 years and I have been Wiccan for 4 year. Wicca can be practiced in many ways and there are no wrong way as long as you honor and obey the one rule. The rule is "Do what you will, as long it harms none." There are many different practices of Wicca. I have seen and studied some Wiccans but not all have the same view point. Please do not be offended by my site if your belief is different than mine. E-mail me so I can but it in here for some more info.

How I got started in Wicca? I was a christian going to church but never feeling all quite right there. A feeling like I really did not belong. I did not know why but I knew I was not christian. For years this went one until one day my English teacher gave me an assignment on witchcraft. Something inside me awoke and told me that this can lead somewhere. So I started researching witchcraft. At first all I found was how witchcraft was evil until I came upon a book called "Wicca A guide For the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham.

I picked up the book and I felt a force draw me into it. In the back of my mind I knew that Wicca was the religion I was looking for. I did my report and the teacher was inmpressed but few of the other students got upset because it offended them.

A few weeks later I actually began to actually practice Wicca. The way I view Wicca is being one with the earth, sky and everything else. Also being in tune with yourself and the enviroment. I enjoy being in a circle but most of the time I practice by myself. I believe in reincarnation and powers of the mind. Myself I can do only a few things like astral projection and card reading The power to do anything comes from within. So what I am saying as long as you can get in tune with yourself and your energy you can accomplish all. That is how I can do these things.

The majority of Wiccans do not care what happened in the past but in the present and the furture. I myself do not hold grudges against the burning times, but some still do. Wiccans are supposed to love and forget those who wronged them. Like I said each person worships a higher power in different ways. None are wrong or better than another. Some like practicing alone and some like practicing in large groups. The people in Wicca do not say their religion is the only one. They do not say bad about others religion and all they what is not to be critisized.

Wiccan means Witch yes, but it is a white witch. Some people think Wicca is evil. It is not because we follow the rule "Harm None." Along with that rule there is a saying whether it is happiness, joy, hurt, or sorrow they will get it back threefold. There is a controversy though over the rule "Harm None". It is that if a evil witch or person doing something harmful to you do you have the right to fight back or do you just sit there and protect yourself? I cannot answer that question myself.

Wicca could be also monotheistic, polytheistic, and dueltheistic at the same time. Monotheistic because we believe that it is one force controlling everything. Dueltheistic because there is a male and female aspect of this one force. If a person can have a male and female aspect why not the one force? Polytheistic because each male and female aspects are divided up into many other aspects? Each god and goddess has their own special attribute. Like each person has many different attributes.
