My father was a great story teller. He enjoyed nothing more than telling stories about his youth and childhood, as well as a good, old fashioned ghost story. It was not uncommon for him to hold in thrall a large group of family and friends, as he told his tales, that could make you laugh, make you cry, or scare you senseless. He always wanted to compile a book of these stories, but sadly, was not able to do so. My father passed away in May of 1997, and left a huge empty spot in the lives of his family and friends. After his death, I stumbled upon several handwritten pages that he had compiled. In these, he began to put down on paper some of these wonderful stories. I decided then and there that they should not go unnoticed, but should be shared.
What you find here are a compilation of the stories he wrote, and those embedded in my memory. I dedicate them to his memory.
