“Kath!” Duncan yelled heading towards the bathroom. “You are not going to believe this one!” Kath smiled sweetly, “Slow down, Duncan.” He waved the newspaper furiously in front of her face; “Look, can you see that! They never said a word last night!”
“For goodness sake, if you would quit waving that paper in front of me I could read it. Calm down!” She gently pulled the paper from his hand. Glancing at the headline, Kath’s eyes widened; “Oh, oh, my.” Putting the paper down, she went towards the phone, “ I have to call Nancy!”
Nancy had just rolled over trying to snatch a few more seconds of sleep, when the phone on the side of her bed rang; “Oh hell!” Grabbing the receiver, she growled into the phone, “Yes?”
Kath’s voice drifted over the line, “Did you see the morning paper yet? You have to look at it! I can not believe it!”
Nancy pulled herself out of the bed, taking the phone with her “Hold on.” She made her way to the kitchen where the newspaper laid on the counter, picking it up she glanced at the headline. “Yeah, so what?”
“Look at the picture!”
Nancy glanced at the picture only to see Ricki in the background. “Oh holy mackerel, Batman! That is Ricki!” She sat down abruptly on the chair at the table. “That sneak! Methos and her said nothing about this last night!”
The morning light broke over the bed in gentle waves, Methos turned observing the beautiful young immortal curled up on his side. Flights of passion driven images flew through his head, last night they had made love until Ricki had finally begged for the release of sleep, as opposed to the physical relief that Methos' skilled hands and body could give her. He supposed he could let her sleep longer, but his need to caress her body was overpowering. Gently he laid his warm hands on her back, kissing her neck, “Ricki,” he whispered softly against her silken skin. Ricki rolled over reaching out to the man that made her feel like a goddess in his arms. “Lets go take a shower,” Methos gently picked her up in his arms.
Warm water poured over the lovers, as they found the ancient rhythm, mingled cries of passion filling the tiled room. Moans were interrupted by the phone that was incessantly ringing in the background, Ricki pushed on his shoulder, “Methos, I have to get that.”
Methos pulled away from her body, “God! I hate that phone.” His body shook with need as he laid his head against the tile. “Get it.”
Ricki kissed his chest, “I will be right back.”
She never came back as the phone call was from Nancy. Methos was glad that they had decided to stay in England, not that he did not love their friends, but he also wanted Ricki to himself for awhile. No Kath or Nancy barging in, calling and taking her off to do whatever it was women do. They were trying to get packed to go back to Seacouver, there had been some emergency, Ricki wanted to leave right away. Methos was not pleased ‘There goes my week of unadulterated screwing’ he thought to himself.
The plane was delayed by two hours. Methos and Ricki headed to a coffee shop located in the terminal to kill the time. Methos sat back, watching as Ricki sat quietly reading her book, sipping her coffee. Every two second, her tongue would edge out of her mouth to gently lick her lips, Methos watched fascinated imaging that tongue in other places, doing other things.
“Christ, I am like a randy young schoolboy’ Methos pondered as he adjusted in his seat trying to hide his growing frustration. Abruptly he stood up, grabbing her hand “Come on, leave the book.” Ricki found herself being pulled through the throes of people, “What?” She tried to pull her hand away “Where.”
Methos was checking every door as he made his way down the terminal hall. He swung open a storeroom door checking quickly to see that nobody was in it. He pulled her into the room and locked the door.
Ricki stared at him as he slowly started pulling her tee shirt off, pushing her against the locked door. He bent his head kissing her, his kiss was tentative, gentle. She trembled at his touch, a need so great as to steal her breath arched between them. She slide her hands to his shoulders, marveling at the heat of his skin beneath her touch.
A whining voice came over the loudspeaker “Boarding for Flight 781 to Seattle now starting.” Ricki pushed against him “Methos, Methos.”
Methos let out a shuddered sigh “No.” He banged his hand against his head “I know we have to go.” He released her slowly. Ricki quickly pulled her tee shirt over her head “I don’t know what has gotten in to you.” She opened the door peeking around to see if anyone was about.
They had been in the air about three hours, when Methos looked over at Ricki. She was back to reading her book. Methos stared at her as she silently read to herself. Glancing down at her tee shirt, he let a mischievous grin spread on his face “You know you have your t-shirt on inside out.”
Ricki glanced down at the t-shirt, a rosy color sweeping her face “How long have you know this?” She looked at him. Methos shrugged turning back to his laptop. Ricki picked furiously at the seams showing at the on her shoulders muttering to herself something about libidos or such. Leaning farther back in his seat, his grin widen, “You know you can go to the bathroom and fix it.”
Ricki stood up, making her way past him. He stood up following her as she head to the front of the plane towards the lavatory. She stopped short “Where are you going?”
Methos shrugged “To help?” Ricki’s eyes widen at the thought of him helping with her shirt. She was pretty sure that it would end up as a crumbled mess on the lavatory floor. Shaking her head, she felt her toes curl. “ I don’t think so.”
“Don’t you want to become a member of the Mile High Club?” He grinned slyly at her.
Her face flushed, she was shocked beyond words. Taking advantage of her speechlessness, Methos grabbed her hand leading her into the confined room. He quickly divested her of her shirt.
The passenger in the coach seat 34b was agitated, muttering about mice and cheese. The woman sitting next to him slide closer to the window. He was sweating, rocking back and forth. Suddenly, he stood up in the aisle brandishing a gun “I have to go!!” He yelled furiously.
The flight attendants rush down the aisle making their way to the passenger. “Sir, please put the gun away.”
"No! I have to go, the voices, I have to go to the mouse.” He recklessly waved the gun around. The other passengers were staring in horrified fascination. Attendants were standing by realizing that one of their worst nightmares had come true.
Passion was riding over the writhing figures in the bathroom, they heard the agitated yelling in a corner of their brains, but the need to reach the greater fulfillment was more pressing. They moved together as one, suddenly their shuddering release came and the world itself seemed to pause for one glorious instant of rapture.
A collective scream came from the plane. Methos lifted his head and looked in shock at Ricki. “What in the hell was that?”
Ricki scrambled up trying desperately to find her unmentionables. “I don’t know.”
Adjusting their clothing, they peeked out of the door. The scene that greeted them was a chaotic mess, passengers screaming and crying, a mad man shaking, brandishing a gun, screaming about a mouse.
“I am too old for this.” Methos sank down on the floor. Ricki looked at him in wonderment; “Well are we just gonna sit here?”
“Yes!” Methos crossed his arms, “I mean it is not like he can do us any harm.”
One of the attendants trying to calm the man without any luck. “Sir, please what do you want? What mouse?”
Lunging towards her the man grabbed her “The mouse, I must get to the mouse.” He put the gun to her head, “You don’t understand the voices, please take me to the mouse.”
Tears ran down the attendants face; “What mouse?” She trembled in fear.
“You bitch!! The mouse, he talks to me, I need to see the mouse.” He ground the gun tighter into her temple. “I have to go, don’t you understand!!!”
Ricki sidled past Methos and opened the door. “Oh no!” She looked at Methos with dismay. Sighing, he stood up, “Stay here!” He commanded as he slipped silently out of the door.
“Don’t you understand? The mouse must be avenged!!” sputtering the man waved the gun around furiously. “I have to go, you must take me!” He looked about the plane with wild eyes.
Methos summed up the scene before him. His sword was in the overhead, he could not get to it. He would have to rely on his charm to get them out of this situation. It was not like the psychotic mouse lover could do him any harm, but still he did not want to come back from the dead in front of all these people.
The mad man had his back to the first class section, where Methos stood idly in the aisle way. If he could disarm him, than the threat to the other passengers would dissolve. He stealthily walked up behind the man, moving quickly he grabbed the man in a choke hold, ripping the gun out of his hand and tossing it behind him. Cheers broke out across the plane as the mad man was finally subdued.
Nancy stared at Ricki and started laughing “Let me sum this up again. The man wanted to go to Disneyland? To see the Mouse as in Mickey? Well you two certainly know how to fly!"
Ricki glared at her “It is not funny!”
Nancy chortled as she shook her head “Oh but it is!! He had to go see the mouse!! Then you and Methos being trapped in the bathroom! Hey, why were you in the bathroom together anyway?”
A blush rose up Ricki’s face “Um, I needed some help with my shirt?”
Nancy looked at her strangely, her whole body shaking “You were doing it, weren’t you? You two were doing the wild thing in the bathroom? Tell me how did you manage, those bathrooms are so small?”
Ricki looked at her, blushing furiously “ We were not!”
Nancy winked at her and smiled “Welcome to the Mile High club!”
