This fantasy scape was done by yours truly in only about an hour. I was bored one day and had just finished sketching various 3-D objects. I have a painting that gave me inspiration for the planets in behind - and I had just been drawing the bitty dragons and castles a bit before. I seem to do my best work when objects are quite small. The dragon is actually less then an inch high - closer to a half-inch high. The drawing itself can fit in a eight by six inch area. But I would like to ask you this: I wonder who would build their castle atop that spindly little cliff? I mean, just imagine the insurance costs... And the haul to get the materials up there... And how would you ever get down again? The dragon of course! I'd bet the dragon would take you where ever you wanted to go... If you asked nicely! But I'll warn you of something - never get a dragon mad when you live on the top of a cliff - he could just push you off with a claw!

I'm guessing you are looking at these dragons and wondering why I decided to put the same dragon up twice, right? Well, they aren't the same dragon. Actually two different ones, drawn on the same day, back to back in my sketch book. Called the "Fantasy Twins" they are guardians of the gates to all imagination. These two are free for anyone to copy if they like - sometimes just looking at them can help your creative juices to flow. They've helped me more then once.

Oh yes, I could not forget my drawing of RiShell. A character for the novel that I have spent so far six years writing, only to finish last year ('97) and decided to completely re-write in 3rd person. I'm not quite sure when this was drawn, but when I had it finished, I had to show everyone. This is the main character of "A Journey Through Shellopia" who finds out that she had been living on Earth for her whole life - but didn't belong there. She ends up being brought back to her planet, Shellopia, to stop a war... Make peace between the two races... And turn a sister she never knew she had into a friend. If anyone is interested in reading the 1st person version, feel free to write me and I can send you each seperate chapter to your e-mail. (20 chapters and an epiloge).
