animation and manga- with special emphasis on my favorite- Fushigi Yuugi. This is how I got my title. On the Fushigi Yuugi mailing list most people call themselves the "no miko" (no=of, miko=priestess) of a favorite anime character. I decided to join in the fun and called myself the miko of my favorite charcters, the US comic X-men's southern couple Gambit and Rogue. Rogue is from SW Mississippi and Gambit is a Cajun from New Orleans. You'll find my fan fiction about them on my Bayou country subpage. You'll find some pictures from my favorite anime and manga on the anime/manga subpage.
Also there will be a space for my favorite singer and artist Yoko Ono (and her son Sean Taro Ono Lennon) That will be the called the Loft.
For those of you visiting this page who don't know the characters stories, here's a quick rundown. They are what is called "mutants" on their earth. Those are people who have powers genetically incoded. For first generation mutants these powers generally emerge at puberty- although there are exceptions both earlier and later. Second generation and later often exhibit powers much earlier. Rogue is a first generation mutant, Gambit maybe a second or later generation mutant. Rogue has the power to "absorb" powers, memories, and the feelings associated with them on skin contact, she also can fly, can lift up to 50 tons, has bullet proof skin, and has a high immunity to diseases and poisons. Gambit can "kinetically" charge objects to make them explode, has a "charm" ability- a type of empathic power, and has superhuman agility. His eyes glow red on a matte black. Mutants are feared by much of the public and they have endured severe prejudices. Some mutants have formed groups to get back at the normal humans, but the X-men are trying to create a world were humans and mutants can live together in peace. Intrigued?
