He traveled down the slight decline at a dizzying pace and it was all Buffy could do to stay conscious as the altitude was dropping. The vampire showed no sign of slowing down.

"Willow," Buffy managed through dry, cracked lips. She was only her only hope. If only Giles and her could find the secret hidden in one of the ancient books in the school's library.

The tunnel opened up into a large cavern and Buffy slightly turned her head to the side only to see a sea a vampires licking their lips and eyeing her hungrily.

"Welcome Buffy," said a man stepping out of the shadows. "Your friends have so thoughtfully revealed your name to us - ." He paused for moment to unveil Xander and Cordy's lifeless, bloodless bodies. Buffy gasped. "Yes, that's right, we know your name, nothing can stop us now." He bent down to Buffy's neck and in the arms of her inescapable captor, she blacked out.

"BUFFY!" Willow hurried out from the tunnel just in time to see the man bending down to bite the slayer. Giles was right behind her armed with a heavy book. He opened it to a marked page and mumbled some unintelligible words and the vampires fell to the ground, paralyzed for now, suffering from amnesia later.

Giles scooped up the slayer from the ground and ran to catch up with Willow, already in the tunnel.

Buffy, awakened from the uncomfortable position, took note of her surroundings. She was over Giles' shoulder, "Yes, everything's gonna be alright." She smiled, a long set of fangs piercing her red lips.

"Blood!"
