here is a gate that was constructed by the elves for the express purpose of flood control in Myth Annaman. They rebuilt this to aid the humans in their settlement efforts many years ago. The gates follow the direction of flow, one per river gate on each side of the city, and allow living and non-living matter through. The pair only functions in one direction, that being downstream. The presence of the gates prevents the extreme floods that once plaqued the elven city. They also help prevent use of the river against the city. The presence of these gates has been forgotten over the years by the human occupants of the City of Mirrors.
