BACCHANAL

By Sergeeva

It was the first really hot weekend of the summer.

Walter had suggested an excursion - the destination his secret.

The woods were cool and shady and the glade with its soft grass felt a million miles from DC and their air-conditioned offices.

Mulder sat cross-legged, enjoying the feel of Walter's fingers in his hair. The wreath of flowering grass stems and cornflowers made him feel like some Shakespearean sprite - mischievous and just a bit dissolute. Walter settled the garland gently, brushing Mulder's hair off his brow and dropping a kiss there.

Scully came skipping up and put a daisy-chain necklace around Walter's neck, to match those already around his ankles. She sat down beside them and stroked Walter's smooth head. Her hair was braided and threaded with wildflowers. She was as naked as they were - dappled with amber sunlight.

"I feel like Persephone", she grinned, twining a tendril of columbine from her headdress around her delicate finger.

"Who knew Walter was so artistic?" Mulder responded, chuckling and pulling both his companions into an embrace.

"I was a child of the 60s, you know", reminded Skinner, smiling fondly at them.

They lay on their backs watching the fluffy clouds float overhead...

Who knew when the soft caresses became more purposeful, when the kisses grew fervent and the three beautiful bodies moved into their dance of love...

THE END
