The Clan MacFru has set up a special forum just for Frus. Frus can be displayed in the message box using simple HTML code. Wouldn't it be fun to have all these wonderful Frus in one place.. and have them be there more than a day or two? I hate it when a special Fru drops off the end of the Forum.. Please check it out and if it feels comfortable, use it as much as you like.

Anthony De Longis Appearance

Free to the public all day long. Tickets for Saturday night Chuckwagon Dinner, Music, Dancing and Wild West Show are $20.00 for adults. (Kids under 12 are free.) GRAND OPENING! Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17, 1999.
Fans of Highlander--we now have available to us, a store in the Chicagoland area which carries all Highlander catalog merchandise--some at discounted prices!! They carry leather jackets, jewelry, swords, season sets, T-shirts (some one-of-a-kind), hats and much much more!
The Store is located 1 1/2 miles south of I-80 on 98th Avenue (LaGrange Road or Route 45) in Mokena, Illinois (approximately 40 minutes south of Chicago.)
A Highlander Cruise ticket will be raffled at the Grand Opening along with many other prizes. Just by visiting the Store, you can enter the raffle (no purchase necessary), or, if you want to beat the crowd, stop by the store prior to the Grand Opening, and you can enter the drawing. You can enter every time you come in. The more you enter, the better your chances of winning.
We are starting the Grand Opening on Friday, July 16th at 10:00 AM, with store specials, raffles, and a free gift to the first 1000 customers.
Then on Saturday, July 17th, the festivities begin!
11:00 AM to 12:00 noon ANTHONY DE LONGIS will be giving a whip demonstration.
12:00 noon to 2:00 PM ANTHONY DE LONGIS will participate in a live remote radio broadcast with "The Kat" (WYKT 105.5 FM; web:http://www.kat1055.com/) DJ Mike Tomano. "The Kat" will also be giving away free gifts and prizes.

Many of you are by now familiar with Holzheimer Distribution, also known as "The Other Highlander Store." I sometimes sign for them at conventions, as do a number of Highlander cast and crew and the casts of other SF/F shows. In all our dealings with the company, we have found them to be reliable, conscientious, and friendly. I believe that the fans who have ordered from them in the past will verify that when Holzheimer's says they're sending you product, you *get* your product!

Holzheimer Distribution is beginning to take orders for the Season 6 Video Tape package, formerly only available through The Highlander Store website and 800 numbers. This means that TEAM/Fusion/whatever-they're-calling-themselves-this-week is no longer the only game in town for new releases of tape sets. Holzheimer will also be distributing the Best of Highlander set when it's ready later in the year.

You can also order any of the previous 5 seasons of tapes from Holzheimer and receive the same freebies as if you ordered from the 800 number. And, Holzheimer has been authorized to offer the same special premium to purchasers of Season 6 who have previously purchased the other five seasons that The Store is offering. (I personally don't know what that is, but Marylee can tell you, I'm sure.)

On Saturday, July 31, Holzheimer Distribution is sponsoring the appearances of Highlander alums Valentine Pelka and Bruce A. Young at FantastiCon.

According to the event organizers: "Fantasticon is a convention saluting fans who care and the actors and behind the scenes performers in the realm of science fiction, Star Trek, and fantasy films and television. The idea was conceived more than four years ago by actor and long-time fundraiser WILLIAM CAMPBELL (Star Trek's Trelane, "The Squire of Gothos" and Koloth from "The Trouble With Tribbles") as a way to raise money for the Country House and Hospital run by the Motion Picture and Television Fund (MPTF). The Fund has been formally designated the primary beneficiary of the 1999 convention and the con is receiving enthusiastic support from the performing community, many of whom will be appearing."
