In answer to you question - "Why is the Chig armor a different color in
each shot."

Actually, they are all the same color.  The paint that was used was
highly reflective and sensitive to the different color stage lights.  The
three photos on your site were all taken the same day.

In some of the earlier episodes - we were experimenting with other paint
schemes so there might be some difference in the colors there.

The only major difference in Armor was that of the Chig officers (ie: The
Chig Ambassador) which had a "Steel Gray" paint scheme.  This was simply
done so that the viewer could tell us apart.  The same armor was used in
the episode "Who Monitors The Birds".

I hope that clears it up a bit.
