A farm girl who lives, or lived, north of Waterdeep, trained by her father in the ways of a warrior at a young age, she learned obedience, duty and honor all in the protection of her family's home. She decided to serve Torm when she was 14, and after discussing this with her parents, they decided to allow her to attend the seminary in Waterdeep as long as they would allow her to return each fall during the raiding season. The high priest of the seminary agreed, and she was on her way to become a nun, and hopefully someday a priestess.
She accelled in her studies during the winter, and requested to be taught the ways of the Tormtar, the priests of Torm. The high priest finally relented and put her in an advanced group, where her battle skills outshined all other monks' skills each time they practiced their defense tactics. The abbot decided to teach her the ways of paladinhood, whereupon she graduated from the seminary as a Sword, one of the few Swords who haven't gained paladinhood through an holy order.
She returned home at the age of 15, and there was much rejoicing and celebration. That fall, her mother was slain during a skirmish between hobgoblin raiders heading south for a small town. Goldie was helpless, but knew she had a duty to destroy the evil and do what she could to warn the town. She met the hobgoblins about 4 miles north of the town, and calling for Torm's help, she single-handedly wiped out all but 2 of them. The remaining two changed their ways and can now be found as permanent farm help on her family's farm.
She has gone away on a couple short adventures, always staying within two days ride of her family's farm, just in case trouble approaches.
