Skippy got his name when he was 14 and made his first steal. He came skipping into the back room full of glee and dropped a small ouch on the table. 22 platinum. He did good. Very good. But he was remembered more for his skipping into the room, thus earning him the name "Skippy" forever.
At 15 he ran away from home, leaving Waterdeep and heading towards the Dalelands, where he heard that there was much treasure and adventure to keep him happy for years to come. Off he went with 3 other cutpurses, following a trade caravan just so that the baddies would get the caravan first, allowing the 3 to go unharmed along the way. And so they lucked out, all the way there. They reached Shadowdale, where the 2 other guys got roughed up and ran to Sembia, stranding Skippy. He quickly met a group of people that were discussing the posting from Lord Mourngrym about the tunnels under the Tower of Ashaba.
They went for it, and came out in the end all in one piece. Amazing, considering the stories of Drow and mages that they found within.... They caught wind of adventure to West, and with Skippy fueling the desires of Undermountain, they travelled West back to his hometown.
Undermountain was a total waste of time, never spending more than 2 hours down below, they lost 2 mages and a thief, but Skippy came away unharmed. We think.... Skippy was known for teasing Cedd, Paladin of Torm, but he started to get very violent with it all. Not like him....
Their adventures led them north, led by TigerShark, and into the tunnels they went, searching for something, they had forgotten by that time and just went adventuring. Upon one dark room the stubled, with scattered gold pieces on the floor and a few rags here and there. Skippy couldn't resist. He rushed in to pick them up, and that's when he noticed the nice black cloak sitting on the coatrack in the corner.
The Cloaker tried him on, and he fit. The party was dumbstruck. The started hitting the cloak, unknowingly hurting Skippy. Star Gazer threw a bottle of Greek Fire, and the mage tossed a torch, up went the Cloaker in flames, and down went Skippy.
