Molblins, a distant cousin of the bugbear, prefers to use the same surprise tactics. They can be very quiet, and they can be quite loud and threatening, often crushing small villages or hunting dragons because they can.

They usually travel in packs, but the more civilized tribes organize into squads, with a squad leader of 6+3 hit dice (420 XP). They tend to like staffs, and are also rather partial to polearms. Or maybe they are the only weapons that they can handle comfortably.... On a rare occasion, you'll find one with a giant's sword or axe. These are the dangerous ones, with hacking swings that bring down trees faster than the chainsaw that beat Paul Bunyan!

They typically wear chain mail armor, and rarely wear anything more or less. The usually make a home within the dense forest trees, eating anything they can get their hands on, be it a cornstalk or an orc, they're ready for it. Beware, PC's, you may end up taking one too many swings when you should have been high-tailing it out of there!
