Mongbats will normally attempt to attack from the cover of trees and dense foliage during the night, using their infravision to their advantage and gaining a +4 to their surprise rolls.
When engaging in combat with humanoids, a pair of mongbats will attempt to grab their victim's arms and carry them to the nest to be swarmed by the flock, or drop them from heights of 100 to 200 feet, and sometimes higher.
Mongbats will adorn their treetop lairs with the treasure picked off of their hapless pray. They are occasionally seen in the service of evil mages as scouts, servants, and messengers.
