The Cylons were one of the coolest Sci-fi adversaries! I just loved the Raiders and the way they worked in threes, as with their crew. I built this kit about 3 weeks after I built the Viper. |

I had no trouble putting this kit together. It was almost like it built itself....hmmm curious. The port laser cannon ended up breaking after I finished the kit and I couldn't find the piece to repair it. |

I used Tamiya medium grey to paint this one ( as I did with all of the Galactica line). It just seemed to suit them. I gave the whole model two coats, then I painted the hull lines black. I then resprayed with one coat of medium grey. This took away the starkness of the black - enhancing the details. |

For the final detailing of the model, I used flat black, flat aluminium and gunmetal. I found that the decals continually ripped, so ince I got them placed, I used semi-gloss black to cover the rips...they've really deteriorated since then and need some more attention. |
I've decided to use this kit to make a custom Trek model, I'm not sure yet to use this model pictured or use the new kit I've got.....we'll see. By your command. |
