Above is an example of my own, original artwork. Yes, I DREW that--by hand, mind you, not computer. It's not one of my best but I thought I'd show it to the 'net world anyway. The two characters are Lady Keela Shanri (left) and Ranger Lufa Caldoni, on the right. So now you know what your Webmistress "looks" like...
Okay, if you've waded through all the stuff at this site so
far (and more to come, I can promise you that!) you are
probably wondering by now--just who IS "Keela Shanri"? And
what is up with this chick--does she REALLY think she is an
alien or something?
The answer is, no, I don't. My real name is Tiffany J.
Knox and I'm an American but I spell things the British way
because I feel like it. I just happen to have become
hooked on Babylon 5 very recently, so I decided to make
this page. I noticed that there were plenty of Minbari
pages, and a Narn homeworld page, but practically NOTHING
for my very favourite race, the Centauri. Well, I found
some page names, but the links were all dead. So I decided
to make this site to help fill a very unfortunate void.
The traditional thing to do with an "About Me" page is to
post a picture of yourself, but in case you haven't
noticed, I'm not exactly traditional. So I'll just
describe myself instead: 5 feet NO inches, pale
complexion, shaggy medium brown hair (no, I'm NOT really
bald!), greenish-greyish-blueish eyes (it depends on the
lighting and what colour(s) I'm wearing), about 105 pounds,
and small boned, with glasses. I tend to wear colourful
clothes and to be out of style on PURPOSE. I'm left-handed
(like Sheridan and Garibaldi, from the show) and I was born
in 1974.
I love '80s music and some '80s clothes and have a
rapidly-growing collection of the former. I enjoy creative
writing, reading, science fiction and fantasy, ancient
world history, role-playing games, drawing, and bicycling.
As for how I got hooked on B5--that's gonna go on another
page, which will be about B5 in general as well. Stay
tuned.
My alter-ego "Keela" is a Centauri character I made up for
a B5 RPG--which then fell through, leaving her with nothing
to do. So I gave her a job--make up a website! I think
she's doing a pretty decent job so far, considering this
thing only went up on September 25, 1998, don't you? If
you wanna know what she looks like, go check the Royal
Court page. I have a picture I drew of her but no scanner,
so that description will have to do for now.
And...I am also responsible for anything "Emperor Cartagia"
says around here. Of course, I did not make up THAT
character--J. Michael Straczynski did--but I sorta adopted
him as my favourite villain on the entire show because of
his dashing, flambouyant costumes, his campy mannerisms,
and his creepy/funny, lightning-fast mood swings. I
thought it was a shame he only lasted 5 episodes. Here, he
will live on (in a way) and constantly make sarcastic
comments and corny jokes in an attempt to spice up this
site.
And finally, on a real-life note, I would like to thank my
brother Matthew for helping me with some of the technical
stuff involved in getting this site put together.
If you're still awake after all this, I commend you! Now
go outside and get some excercise!
