| Background | Capital city is Stratos, unique among other Federation world capitals in that it is located in the Ardana atmosphere. Ardana has large deposits of zenite, which has given the world a role in fighting several notable botanical plagues (e.g., the Merak II plague of 2269). Ardana underwent major social reforms in 2269 after segregation of wealthy Ardanans who lived in Stratos and workers who lived on the surface below (called Troglytes) was ended. |
