Background | Selay are bitter enemies of Anticans, who live on a planet in the same system. The Federation moderated a dispute between the two planets recently, seemingly putting an end to their years of hostility towards each other. Both the Selay and the Anticans have applied for Federation membership. (both were assumed to be made members around 2364). |
Editors Notes | They are a sentient reptilian race that appears to be evolved from an animal similar to a Terran king cobra, and are assumed to be cold-blooded. Due to their descent from venomous reptiles, they have an active venom delivery system in their front fangs. Their thick, snake-like skin also gives them added protection from some types of attacks. |
