The area I live in, is surrounded on two-and-half sides by water - specifically, the Arabian Sea. It is an amazing mixture of ancient heritage and modern structures, and surprisingly, nothing looks out of place here.
Left Up: these are just a few of the 30+ temples located in the vicinity. Some of these go back centuries
Right Up: A view of the Arabian Sea and some more temples.
Left Up: An extended view of the Arabian Sea. The ship marooned there in year 2000. Has been stuck since!
Right Up: This tank is considered sacred by locals, as it contains fresh water even though surrounded by the sea on three sides. It is now a heritage area. People come here for holy dips.
Left Up: A view of the skyline on the north side.
Right Up: A couple of government buildings (Red roofs), the "Bay of Bombay" and the Marine Drive beyond it.
Left Up: Beyond the bay, that is the Navy township.
Right Up: Across the bay: Wankhede Stadium.
Left up: A crematorium for Hindus.
Right Up: A western view of the sea and coastline.
