Promo Cards - Text and Review

Rumor has it that some strange and unusual Dudes, Goods, etc., are showing up that most folks ain't heard of. We're here to tell you just a little bit about these fabled cards...

(If anyone can send me further info on these card, such as a scan of the images, or the name of the artists, it would be greatly appreciated.)

Big Doc's Casino

Eric Ren
Cost 4 / Production 1 / Control 1 / Public - Casino
Controller Reaction: Before hands are drawn during the Gambling Phase, all players must ante 1 additional or one less ghost rock - your choice, (players can borrow from the bank but must repay immediately, as when borrowing for ante.) (Value Two)

Hector Casparo: It's a pleasure to lose at such a fine establishment.

Hector's Notes: A pretty good choice for Sweetrock (original), Dead Man's Hand, and Bicycle-type decks, for the boosting of ante. Also good for typically high-value decks for the ante-reduction. Otherwise, it's cost makes it pretty similar to stuff like Miss Coutreau's, and The Barber's Shop, with a special ability to boot.

Lilith VandeKamp (experienced)

Stud 1 / Influence 2 / Cost 6 / Upkeep 2 / Experienced / Abomination / Vampire
Noon: Boot any number of your other dudes in Lilith Vandekamp's location. Lilith Vandekamp gains a +1 bullet or +2 value bonus until after Nightfall for each booting Dude. (Value Seven)
"Don't scream, Mr. Rocescu. My girls are as gentle as lambs..."

Cort Williams: I was over there just the other day. I told Slate and Rocescu to be on the lookout, but I didn't figure VandeKamp for a threat. Looks like I'll have to go get 'em out...

Cort's Notes: A dangerous Abomination indeed - one wonders if the Vampiric Dance Hall Girl will be errata'd next time out as a "Vampire" as well. She's a target for the Agency. On the other hand, the Agency themselves can use her and Ace her themselves if necessary to gain that extra VP and the win. The Upkeep is a little pricey but well worth it.

Lucky Rabbit's Foot

Dave Deitrick
Cost 4 / Goods
Reaction: Ace the Lucky Rabbit's Foot after Draw hands have been drawn but before they have been revealed for a shootout this Dude is in. Discard your Draw hand and draw another hand using all of the same bonuses to the number of cards drawn and discarded. (Value Seven of Hearts)
"This one works."

Black Jack: I'm not a superstitious man by nature. But I don't put much faith in Father Juan's God either, even if he had some reason to take an interest in me. Figure my Rabbit's Foot accounts for my surviving just as well as anything.

Black Jack's Notes: What's not to like? Let's you "reset" your hand only. Put it on a Shooter like Black Jack or Nate Hunter to guard against calamity. It never really hurts to be on the safe side, does it?

Start Again

Cheatin' Reaction: Play when another player reveals an illegal Draw hand. All the cards in that player's Draw hand are sent to Boot Hill, but are not considered "aced." Those cards may not leave Boot Hill in any way until the end of the game. That player draws five new cards to form his or her new Draw hand. Only one Cheatin' card can be played against a player per draw. (Value Two)

Armitage the Damned: My master tried once, but was defeated. It was my failure that led to his defeat many cen...I mean, many years ago. Now that he has started his plans again, he has summoned me here to help him. And help him I shall. Perhaps then I can finally die...in peace, that is.

Cort's Notes: Another potent Cheatin' card to discourage you from cheating. Although with stuff like Jackelope Stampede out there, it hardly seems necessary. At least now you can choose between a Two and an Eight when picking a strong anti-Cheatin' card.
