Alien Intelligences

Alien intelligences is a generic term used by travellers to refer to any extremely powerful alien being. In many ways Alien Intelligences are simply Things Man Was Not Meant To Know under a different name, with one major change. While normal humans with TL7 gear and minor magic had no chance of doing anything more than delaying a Thing, Rifts characters with access to TL10 gear and powerful magic have a chance of actually destroying them, although the odds are still not good.
Because of the vast variety of different alien intelligences no generic description is possible. Guidelines for using an Intelligence can be found in GURPS Horror; presented here are the stats for three known Things from Rifts Earth.


Splurgoth

The Splurgoth are an ancient race of supernatural intelligences that are spread throughout the multiverse. They appear as giant mounts of flesh with a single huge eye, numerous spines and half a dozen tentacles.
Advantages: Immune to Disease, Immune to Poison, Unaging, Nightvision, See the Invisible, Regular Regeneration, Doesn't Breath, Doesn't Eat or Drink, and Doesn't Sleep
Magic: 200 or more points in spells and powers, always including all Ley-Line College spells. At least 4000 PPE.
Psionics: 100 or more points in psionic powers, always including Teleportation 16+ and Healing 12+.
Vulnerabilities: Silver and magic weapons do triple damage and bypass normal DR. Creatures of magic, supernatural beings, and psionics do normal damage but bypass DR.
Minions: The minions of the Splurgoth are numerous, but some of the most important the the Splurgoth Slavers, Kittani, and Blind Warriors. Splurgoth are machievallian and will ally with anyone if it serves their purposes.
