Body Armour
CA-1 and CA-2 Dead-Boy Body Armour
Both light and heavy Dead-Boy armour are effectively
equivalent to TL10 Infantry Combat Armour, as described
in Ultra-Tech, except that the Light suit has only half
the DR at each location. Both are assumed to come with
a TL8 sealed helmet with HUD, radio, calculator, and
atmosphere filter, all of which are included in the
cost.
CA-6C and CA-6EX
An extremely heavy form of laminate plate armour, CA-6
has the standard CS Dead-Boy styling, but comes in
two different types. CA-6C is a simple laminate suit,
much to heavy for humans to wear, but ideal for
Juicers, Borgs, and others who are unusually strong.
CA-6EX is a suit of CA-6 armour with a built in
exo-skeleton, and is effectively the same as
Powered Combat Armour as described in Ultra-Tech.
Explorer Armour
A heavy laminate plate armour, Explorer is similar to
CA-1 heavy Dead-Boy, except it is slightly lighter and
lacks the additional helmet features.
Gladiator Armour
Gladiator armour is composed primarily of non-rigid
bio-plas fibres, with solid plates reinforcing vital
areas. This gives excellent protection for a light
suit, but only offers 1/4 normal DR versus impacts or
crushing damage, and only 1/2 DR versus cutting damage.
Crusader Armour
A very simple armour to make, Crusader armour is
simply a full suit of TL3 plate composed on modern
materials, worn over an NBC suit. This provides a
cheap enviromental armour, although the metals it
is made of can conduct heat and electricity, making them
worse than useless against some attacks.
Urban Warrior Armour
A popular style of light body armour used by police and
travelers for years. Essentially similar to CA-2
Light Dead-Boy armour, except slightly heavier and it
lacks the extra features.
Plastic Man Armour
An extremely light form of armour, Plastic Man suits
offer excellent protection. The only drawback is that
the suits plates can be gradually worn away.
Bushman Armour
Consisting of interlocking composite plates, Bushman
amour is heavier than other suits offering equivalent
protection, but cheaper. It only offers
1/2 its normal DR versus collisions and crushing damage.
Huntsman Armour
Huntsman armour is simply a lighter suit of
partial Bushman armour. Like Bushman it only provides
1/2 DR versus collisions.
Assassin's Plate
A non-enviromental suit of plate armour designed for
use by the chemically enhanced Juicers. Assassins Plate
only offers light protection, but is cheap and
doesn't impede mobility at all.
DPM Riot Armour
Designed by the CS for use by mutant animals, DPM armour
is light non-enviromental armour, intended primarily
as protection against low-tech gunfire. Its low cost
make it a favourite in poorer communities.
GB Personal Armour
The standard issue light body armour of Glitter Boy
pilots before the rifts. It is somewhat bulky and
less efficient that other armours, however it is also
cheap and designed to be comfortably worn for
relatively long periods.
