Martian Overlords
Description
Overlords resemble a large black octopus, with three tentacles on either side
of their bloated body. Their skin is leathery, with plates of chitinous
armour covering the upper body. A single large green eye dominates
the front of the body between the tentacles, but apart from this no
facial features are visible.
Overlords use their tentacles for mobility and can move about using any
four limbs, leaving the others free to act. To manipulate objects the tentacles
end in three opposing digits. They are known to have
excellent peripheral vision and hearing, but no sense of smell and
only a very vague sense of touch.
Perhaps the most distasteful aspect of the Overlords (to a human anyway)
is their diet; they sustain themselves by drinking blood. Animal blood will suffice,
but they seem to prefer Human blood.
Advantages: +1 ST, +3 IQ, acute vision +4, peripheral vision,
DR 2, high-technology (TL7), doesn't need to eat/drink
Disadvantages: No sense of taste/smell, no sense of touch,
megalomania, dependency (blood, daily), odious personal habits (drinks blood)
