INTELLIGENCE & SECURITY: All Intelligence and Security activities for the section are directed by this department. The Director of I&S is a Captain, and must have held a starship command with Intel background. The commander of the I&S division is part of the SSD Chain-of-Command. He or she also has two deputy directors, one Commander of Intelligence and one Commander of Security. Both must be starship qualified, the intel chief must have also been a field operative, and the security chief must have been a starship security officer. This department is also home to a special missions section which performs the brunt of our on location intel gathering. A larger version of the image can also be viewed by clicking on it.
