I Walk With You

A day closes,
A Journey ends.
Rest is taken,
To make amends.
To heal the heart,
To heal the pains,
They are traveled,
Deep well into,
The trails of this,
         Heart.

Now tomorrow,
Eyes awaken,
Limbs are straightened,
Strength is gathered,
For a new travel,
A new journey.
The past is gone.
For this new heart,
The future remains,
    Undiscovered.

So I tell you,
Do not look back.
Set your eyes locked,
On what’s ahead.
You’re not alone.
Because of me.
You do not walk,
By yourself, but
Beside me. Your
        Friend.

A companion.
I would not fault,
For anything.
Speak and I will,
Listen. Ask and
I will advise.
Cry and I will 
comfort. Seek and
I will help you
        Find.
