I am a HUGE FAN of THE OUTER LIMITS!! :0)
I have been a fan of this SciFi series for approx. 30 Yrs. This series gave a SciFi Fanatic like myself much more to see and enjoy than the 30Minutes of The Twilight Zone. Not to mention the fact it helped to bring out many Individual actors careers that
ere just getting started in showbiz.
I say GodBless Leslie Stevens and Joseph Stefano for giving us a Wonderful Science Fiction series to watch and Enjoy. I just wish that there were more episodes back then made on TV. I believe I have everyone of the Video Tapes of The Outer Limits series.
Crave for more of this Excellent SciFi Series. I am NOT with all due respect to the Producers and Directors a Fan of the Current Modern Day Outer Limits series. I guess it is just that I don't feel that they have captured the Acting, Art, Skill and Aura
f the Original Series.. Not many can make new series successful out of older Television Series.

The Outer Limits is the best show of its kind.I was five and six years old when abc first ran TOL.The control voice really set the
tone for the show. I remember watching episodes like MICE, MUTANT, FUN AND GAMES and ZZZZZ, being so frighten I
could hardly look up at the television, but I couldent turn my eyes away .Over the past couple of years I have collected all 48
episodes,and enjoy watching them with my two sons,thow they are more braver than I was.They love TOL as much as their

When I was 13 years old, I expirenced the first episode of the Outer Limits. I really believed that my television set was broke! Years later I found out that the creator was Joseph Stephano, high school classmates of my father and aunt. South Philadelphia
High School, class of 1939.
Since that discovery, I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Stephano and his charming wife Marylin on several occasions. Currently, I correspond with Mr. Stephano and he with me. I consider him my friend and myself more enriched as a person to know him.

My family was on vacation in 1964, stopping in Dallas on the way to
Houston. We were staying in a Holiday Inn, and my parents went
out to get some food. I was alone in the room when the Outer
Limits came on.
The episode was "Corpus Earthling". It scared the dickens out of me when the rock globbed onto the scientist's face. I had to turn it off!
I got a little braver some years later and watched it again. It was still pretty scary, but I made it all the way through that time.
Luckily, TNT has replayed OL in recent years, so I have a lot of the episodes on tape now.
The Inheritors is another episode that I remember distinctly. Double brain wave pattern!

Outer Limits is one of the most profound memories I have of my childhood. I still remember the feeling of dread coupled with exhilaration when the opening sequence began only to be maddingly cut short for the equally haunting Control Voice sequence. I a
ree with others that the New OL series is a less than adequate remake of the original if for no other reason than the original series in the much more artistic format of Black and White, and created more intense suspense with simpler techniques than the c

Fantastic website, Bryant. The only one I've found where the unparalled closing theme

The Outer Limits - the REAL Outer Limits - was doubtless the greatest TV series yet
produced in any genre. Why wasn't Frontier's haunting theme music used in the modern
version, but instead substitued with a greatly inferior "updated" opening? The
same na rator used for the Control Voice as the one replacing Rod Serling? Why purchase a
property of great uniqueness only to change its identity into something unrecognizable -
something forgettable, like Tales from the Darkside, whose subject matter had little if
anything in common with The Outer Limits? Why presume to "improve" the poetic
simplicity of "the inner mind" to the laughably stupid "deepest inner
mind?" Perhaps the answers to these profound cosmic mysteries are to be found
reposing in the unfathomable depths of some Hollywood producer's cocain -induced
fantasy-land... a quite mediocre kingdom, to be sure -- one in which powerful spells of
illusion can delude unworthies into believing, to everyone's cost, that they deserve to
take up the OL torch. It seems any great and marvellous thing can be defiled by the
highest bidder. Pity.

I have enjoyed the newer episodes of this series. I found out that you have to pay
attention to the whold show otherwise, you will be lost. My question is, Did the Outer
Limits ever receive any type of Emmy or other television award?
