Franz Joseph-created schematics of the Enterprise also appear in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. They are displayed on screens of three different bridges in the film: the simulated Enterprise bridge during the Kobayashi Maru scene, the real Enterprise bridge, and the bridge of the USS Reliant.

I had originally found images from only the Booklet of General Ship's Plans. Thanks to Thomas Småberg, it has been discovered that images from the Star Fleet Technical Manual also appear in the film.

On the training room bridge and the Enterprise bridge, the images are green, and on the Reliant bridge, the images are blue. The schematics all originated from Franz Joseph's Booklet of General Ship's Plans.

Interestingly, the Reliant bridge features Franz Joseph's plans of an Enterprise-type engineering hull, even though that ship has no separate engineering hull.

Images from the Star Fleet Technical Manual have been found on the training room bridge from the Kobayashi Maru scene.

The first two images are diagrams of the Saladin-class scout or Hermes-class destroyer, and the third image is a diagram of the Ptolemy-class transport/tug. Interestingly, Gene Roddenberry would later state that, in "his" Star Trek universe, Federation starships had paired warp nacelles. The statement was apparently made to discount the Star Fleet Technical Manual as canon. These images suggest that at least some of the material from the Manual is "official," and that Federation starships can indeed have a single nacelle.
