Player info: Player Name: Paul Bernard E-mail Address: pmbernard@vcn.com AIM: IrrCapT ICQ: R. Cypher MSN: N/A Cerebro Scan Subject: Magician Real Name: Edward Weisser Age: 17 Birthday: September 18 Height: 5'11" Weight: 188 Build: medium/heavy Skin Tone: Tanned Caucasian Eyes (shape and color): occidental, Blue Hair (Texture, Color, Length): fine, sandy blond, shoulder length Group Affiliation: Brotherhood of Mutants Clothing: monocolor short sleeved shirt (Red/ Purple/ Blue), slacks (brown or black) Uniform: Black pants, White long sleeve dress shirt, White gloves, grey mask over eyes, nose, and cheeks, Black shoes Jewelry: none Identifying Features: none Attributes: Physical: Strength-2(human) Intelligence-3(exceptional human) Stamina-2(human) Speed-3(exceptional human) Fighting ability-2(human) Mutant: Energy Projection-6(moderate power mutant)(special) Power Description, Workings, & Limitations: The mutant known as Magician has access to a large reservoir of power. (side note: This mutant ability seems to be the major inherited quality of the Weisser genes. How each member of the mutant strain uses the energy is the point of separation.) However, unlike his brother (see file: Half Life), Edward Weisser cannot project this energy. Instead, it is transformed, presumably along Einsteinian lines, into objects. As long as Magician has had contact with the substance, he can form it into any 3D geometric shape. Power is activated with a flick of the wrist. However, the energy requirements needed to effect these objects seems, if not to put a strain on the energy supply, pushes the limit of the amount of energy Magician is able to channel. He therefore cannot make an object that is more than 4 inches long or 3 inches in diameter, and it cannot exceed a weight of 2.5 kg. Will constraints also mean that the object may not have a varied composition, and that it have no moving parts. Magician can theoretically build a complex object out of multiple creations, but it would take time. And since the structure of the objects is unstable, they fall apart and presumably return to the reservoir after 1 hour out of contact with Magician. This would make any built complex object of limited use. Skills: Lock Picking, Knife throwing, palming and slight of hand. limited experience with computers and security systems. Has also studied chemistry with a view to expanding his catalog of substances. History: Edward Godel Weisser was born on September 18, 1986 in Redlands, CA. His parents, Christian Weisser and Hanna Weisser nee Reiley were first generation German and third generation Irish respectively. At an early age, Edward showed a great intelligence, and seemed to be on his way to a promising future. On July 17, 1991, however, Christian Weisser abandoned his wife and two sons (Heinrich Weisser, age 3 (see file: Half Life)) for an undisclosed reason. The biographer speculates that the strength of the Weisser mutant strain makes it likely that Christian Weisser was a mutant himself, and left to spare his family persecution. The loss of a father figure at an early age seemed to have a negative effect on Edward. Reports say that he became more withdrawn during this period. Then, in 1993, at the age of 7, Edward's power manifested itself. Having left part of his lunch money at home, he wished for the quarter he needed and there it was in his hand. Using it to pay for his lunch, visions of what else he could do raced through his head. Edward went on what is generally termed as an escapade, going from shop to shop, vending machine to vending machine, buying candy with created money. Since Edward's copies were good (he made sure of that), he was never caught passing counterfeit. And when the money "vanished" from the register, no one connected it with the young boy buying candy. This spree lasted for two years, and by the end of it, Edward Weisser had a large ego and superiority complex. He believed that, since no one had ever caught him, those humans around him, and it was eventually extended to all humans, to be fools and idiots, and that only mutants were truly intelligent. At this time he began to verbally abuse his younger brother, and extended his criminal activities, learning first key duplication and then lockpicking to steal from lockers. He came under suspicion many times during this period, but since he never had any of the paraphanalia needed to carry out these crimes (he usually created it on the spot), he was never caught. This only served to reenforce the superiority complex. In 1999, when Edward Weisser was 13, his brother, then 11, manifested his mutant ability. At the time, it extended only to light emission, but Edward saw it as a sign that he and his brothers were to be comrades in arms. He enlisted his brother, who, at the time, idolized him, and they went on one of the most extensive locker robbing spree the local authorities had ever seen. Then, on February 3rd, 2001, when he was 15, Edward tried his next stunt. He broke into a store and robbed it. Two days later he was arrested. The store security camera, which he had dismissed as useless, since only "dumb humans" would watch the tape, had caught him on film. He was tried and sentenced to 2 years in juvenile hall. At first, Edward enjoyed being in Juvenile Hall. He found some kindred spirits in others who had the same "devil may care" attitude to the authorities. A thrill seeker, he reveled in the new experience of juvenile hall for 6 months. Then he grew bored, created a set of lockpicks, and escaped. Returning to his home, he found a mother who would neither help him or report him to the police. When Edward went to his brother to see if Heinrich would join with him, he found his brother now disliked him, the years of abuse having finally caught up with him. Heinrich called the police, and Edward fled his home. He drifted across states, never staying in one place for very long. He was caught a few times, but each time he escaped from the restraints they had on him with a flick of his powers. This was how I found him. He joined the brotherhood partly for the thrill, but mainly for the philosophy. He has been working with the brotherhood for the past two years. Personality: Magician has a very carefree philosophy. He believes himself and other mutants to be infinitely superior to humans in all ways, especially intelligence. This inbues all his action with a "Devil may Care" attitude, and he will frequently thumb his nose at authority. He is also has a touch of the thrill seeker in him, and rarely shies away from danger. He can be very focused, but even then he will laugh and crack jokes and generally be a "wiseguy". Magician was deeply hurt by his brother's betrayal, and cannot understand his brother's position. He does care for his brother, but no longer trusts him, and is perfectly willing to hurt him if he gets in the way of what the brotherhood wants. Relationships: Eric Lensherr- As a rule, I don't have many dealings with Magician. He is a fool for underestimating the intellegence of humans. This makes him vulnerable to those who would scheme to dominate us. His attutde also has need of adjustment. His usefulness does partly excuse him for these faults, but I will make him understand humanity. Raven Darkholme - Mystique and Magician do not get along well at all. Just as I find his attitude to be a problem, Mystique puts it down as his main character flaw. All of her attempts at disipline have failed. However, since he does get the tasks he is assigned done, she feels he is too valuable an asset to lose. Emma Frost - White Queen and Magician have had almost no contact with eachother. They know eachother casually, but since Magician has show no aptitude toward psychology, she has never taught him. Mystique's stories have also contributed to White Queen's lack of interest. Mortimer Toynbee - Taod likes Magician alot. They seem to share a similar personality, and that leads them to enjoy eachother's company. Magician seems to spend the most of his free time with Toad or one of the other members of the student body. Victor Creed - Sabertooth and Magician have a teacher-student relatioship and nothing more. While I think Sabertooth likes Magician's attitude in battle, his laxness in his training does not endear him to Sabertooth. St. John Allerdyce - Pyro and Magicain have a friendly relationship, but I would hardly call them friends. Pyro likes some of Magicians antics, and probably would be friends with him, but Magician has not seen fit to persue the relationship. I don't think that Magician dislikes Pyro, but he just doesn't seem to care for a Faculty friend beyond Toad.
