How to fly nuke-strike mission

  • Lead a single aircraft flight to do the job.
  • Nuke-strike is THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE when you need to clear out a heavily defended area.
  • BE ADVISED!
    • You cannot carry any AN/ALQ-131 on this mission.
    • Set your final waypoint to desired impact point. Bomb destroys almost every non-infrastructure target within 7-mile radius.
    • Plan your mission so, that no allied aircraft will be present in a 10-mile radius around ground zero in the time of blast.
    • After take off climb slowly to altitude of Angels 40 and maintain your speed at 500 kts just before bomb away.
    • Direct your aircraft directly to final waypoint and drop bomb when RNG count decreases from 6 to 5 miles (6.0 nm). You have to hit bomb-release key twice to drop it.
    • After bomb away do not drop altitude while countdown of  60 sec is in progress.
    • Avoid any enemy aircraft or SAM site detection while ingressing on target.
  • Do not use too much of this weapon. It is not so perfect as it seems at the start.

  • You are a highly undefended target for enemy fighters.
When at max altitude, DO NOT close to any aircraft in attempt to visual ID.
If detected by ground radars, ABORT mission.
