(YR4.xx)  WAR HAWK SUB-LIGHT CARRIER
    This is the pre-warp version of the War Hawk.  The SSD show both the lasers and Masking Device.  It carries 5 Early Gladiator Fighters and 1 Admin shuttle.  No formal escorts were assigned.  After the lasers became useless in ship-to-ship combat, this ship, and its fighters, were relegated to ground combat support.

(YR4.Fxx)  EARLY G-0 GLADIATOR FIGHTERS
    The Romulans had used fighters in the Sub-Light wars and, when they upgraded their admin shuttles with shielding and structural support, they upgraded their fighters as well.  For as long as they were able, the Romulans used them in fleet and squadron actions to help defend against incoming Gorn plasma.  Displaying great foresight, the Fighter Development team designed them with increased ground support capabilities, allowing them to be used even after the laser became useless in ship-to-ship combat.  It can carry up to 2 pods without any reduction in speed.

SPECIAL RULES:

Like any other Laser armed Romulan unit, the G-0 can fire its Laser at incoming plasma, provided the plasma is within its FA arc.  However, due to their greater mobility, the Early Gladiators can also fire at incoming plasma targetted at another unit IN THE SAME HEX as the fighter.  Firing arcs still apply and the fighter can not of moved on the same impulse it fires its Laser in this manner.

The G-0 Early Gladiator is fitted with additional ground attack weaponry and therefore has an Offensive Potential (D15.14) of 2.  This may be increased by Ground Attack Pods.
