of alternate, UNOFFICIAL, Cadet Cruisers.
Tholian Cadet Cruiser. This is based upon the design in Captain's Log, but I added the SNARE to be better representative of Tholian ships. The snare has simple enough rules to introduce the Tholian Web, without making the process too complex for less experienced players. The following rules are required, in addition to those in the Cadet Handbook.

Alternate Orion Cadet Cruiser. Through my own playtest, I determined that the Orion Cadet Cruiser, as it is, is more significantly more powerful than the other ships. Compare it to the Kzinti and Klingon. The phaser suites are comparable, but the Orion has 4 heavy weapons (drone and disruptors) compared to only three for the other ships. This, combined with the presense of the Cloaking Device on the Orion makes the ship, as is, significantly more powerful. I have therefore provided an alternate design, which only has a single FA Photon Torpedo. This ship is, in my opinion, both more balanced and more representative of Orion ships.
Hydran Hellbore Cadet Cruiser. For those who might want to introduce the Hydran Hellbore cannon, this is a good Cadet Cruiser for the job. With only a single Helbore, the ship is not overpowering, and it has an increased phaser suite so it can compete during the arming turns.
