**Flash Forward. Pearl and Goten are going steady. SE and Bardock sometimes sneak out for romantic, moon-lit walks, though SE denies it. Insight and Piccolo train together daily. All three had gotten part-time jobs so they didn’t have to worry about money, since some of the parts to the machine were pretty costly, and Pearl, being part Saiya-jin, ate a lot. Pearl was a computer engineer with her futuristic knowledge of computers, GE was a pet-store worker, being excellent with other animals (aside from the kittens she constantly tried to kill that looked like meowths), and Insight worked at Capsule Corporation, assisting Bulma and inventing new devices on her own. She’s already created a portable gravity machine, one which she wears on her sash constantly. After all the parts missing had been gathered, and the machine had been re-energized, the three made preparations for the jaunt they would soon be taking.**
(Pearl) All we need now is Evil P. Geez, how far away could he possibly be?
(GE) Well, he’s not trying his hardest to get back. He can fly around the world within a day, and it’s been three weeks. He’s probably training.
(Pearl) Great. Insight, please tell me something else bad. I want to really ruin my day.
(Insight) Who says he’s going to be willing to do it? I mean, what if he just doesn’t want to help us? Or he gets back, takes your time machine, and gets back on his own?
(Pearl) *moans, and throws head back in exasperation* I do NOT want to think about that possibility...why’d you have to tell me?
(Insight) *shrugs* You asked me too. Even if it wasn’t in seriousness.
(GE) But how can your day be ruined? Your going out with Goten tonight, aren’t you?
(Pearl) No.
(Insight) Huh? I just talked to Goten earlier, and he says he’s stocked about seeing you again tonight. Supposedly, he has something really special planned.
(Pearl) *face turns bitter* So? Our whole relationship is going to be one big flop. I’m going to call the date off.
*Insight’s face goes slightly downcast as she realizes what she’s saying, but GE gets slightly angry*
(GE) What do you mean, one big flop? You care about him don’t you? What, do you think he’s not good enough? What’s wrong with your relationship? You two love each other, right?
(Pearl) Don’t you get it? When we leave, we leave Goten. I won’t ever see this one again, and I’ll have to go back to seeing Goten with Pares.
(Insight) Why don’t you just go on the date anyway? You can’t call it off now...
(Pearl) *sigh* You’re right....but this is still going nowhere.
*GE doesn’t comment, but gets a determined look on her face*
Part 32
**The next day**
*Elsewhere*
(Evil P) Bwahahahahaha...I hope they haven’t forgotten about me...surely they don’t think it’d take this long for me to get back? No matter, I have a few surprises in store for them...*starts laughing evily again, and two other voices join him...*
**Back at the capsule house**
*GE’s nose twitches, and her ears perk up*
(GE) I’m getting a very bad feeling...
(Pearl) Hey, you were the one to make the pancakes...
(GE) No, not like that.
(Insight) Then what?
(GE) I...I don’t know...Something’s not right...
(Pearl) Do you feel a disturbance in the force?
*Pearl and Insight both laugh, and are eventually joined by GE, but she doesn’t lose the worried expression on her face*
Part 33
*A dark figure walks up to the Capsule house. It sneaks up, spy-style. It reaches the doorway, and tentatively types in a code. The door slides open, and the figure sneaks in. Suddenly, a bright light completely exposes her, as a camera flashes, and ropes are shot from the ground, tying SE up. She screams, an alarm sounds, and Insight and Pearl come rushing in an instant later.*
(Insight) All right, Ev-Oh. It’s you.
(SE) *is still in shock*
*Pearl rushes over and cuts through the ropes with a small blade, while Insight types some stuff on the computer, stopping the flashing lights and alarm. SE gets up, breathing hard.*
(SE) WHAT WAS THAT?????
(Pearl) Security system. I just programmed it.
(SE) WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO, KILL ME?!?!?!?!?!?
(Pearl) No, capture Evil P. We’ve worked out a plan to be able to bring him here, and hopefully keep him. My part was to design this new security system, specifically designed to surprise, confuse, and wind Evil P. There’s a lot more going on beneath the surface to this machine.
(SE) *calming down slightly* I don’t think this will hold him very well...
(Pearl) No, it won’t. Not for more then a minute, anyway. But that’s more then enough time.
(SE) ....For?
(Insight) *snaps fingers, and transparent cylinder drops from the ceiling* This.
(SE) Wow...what’s that?
(Insight) That’s my part in this operation. I built this machine, using materials from my boss, Bulma. Pearl’s program will stop him, and this will contain him. *Points to the tube* It’s made of my new polymer, Kilat. If Evil P ki blasts it, the kilat will absorb the blast, and reflect it back at double the power. If he touches it, it will generate quite a few volts of electricity.
(SE) Nice...
(Pearl) But you have a part in this too...if it’s ok with you...
(SE) Please don’t say I’m the bait...
(Pearl) No...well, not really. We’re counting on you to bring Evil P here, but that’s not all.
(SE) What else is there you want me to do?
(Insight) You’re the one who knows most about him. We need you to make sure this will work,
(Pearl) And convince him to help us. We also need you to-*Pearl is interrupted as lightening bolts flash behind all of their heads, and a crash is heard outside.* Oh great.
(SE) It’s-
(All) Evil P.
*groan*
(Insight) Talk about clichés...
I would combine the last two short ones, but the end of section five is kinda like a semi-resolution. So I'm sorry that they're so short....hey, at least you get to listen to more music!
