Part 47

*The next day went by smoothly, well, for the heroines, anyway. Insight gave Evil P dreams about eating eggs, and after him throwing up all over the tube, he looked about ready to relent and help them get back. Pearl stopped GE from killing Goten’s cat, who reminded GE a little too much of her master’s Meowth. But later, at night, when everyone should be asleep, one is still awake. GE is sitting at a table, toiling over a pad of paper, gritting her teeth in frustration.*
(GE) I don’t get it...how can I make this work? There must be something I don’t see....WORK WITH ME HERE!!! *GE pounds the table in frustration, startling Insight out of her sleep. She walks into the kitchen*
(Insight) You ok?
(GE) ......yeah, fine.
(Insight) What’s up?
*GE sighs, then throws the pad over to Insight. She looks at it, and it’s covered with a long formula. After scanning it for a minute, she nods in understanding.*
(Insight) You want to be able to bring Goten along for Pearl, huh?
(GE) *shocked* ....yeah.
(Insight) Good mathematics. How long did it take you to do this? How many nights have you been staying up?
(GE) Every one since I saw the problem...and I’ve been spending every second I get while working.
(Insight) *low whistle* Man...that’s really cool of you...but it’s not good for you, either. On top of that, I thought you hated Pearl and Goten as a couple.
(GE) I do! I mean, I don’t! I mean, oh, I don’t know. I can’t explain it. *motions to the pad* But I just can’t make it work! I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong!
(Insight) Well, so far, it’s going good. But here, let me help.
*Insight picks up a pencil, and circles a part of the formula, and moves it over to a different destination. She then hands it back to GE*
(GE) Oh....I get it! So once this is completed, will it work?
(Insight) I hope so. But remember, Goten has to be willing. You should go talk to him. And get some sleep!
(GE) Right. Thanks.
*Insight nods, smiles, and heads back to the couch, and falls asleep again, while GE looks up thoughtfully.*

Part 48

*GE appears at Goten’s window, and opens it, despite the fact that it’s locked, with the ease of much practice. She jumps onto Goten’s bed and nudges him*
(Goten) mmmmmumblemumble.......Iloveyoupearl....mumblemumble....
(GE) I doubt you’d have much objections, but Insight’s right. You need to be asked. *Gently shakes Goten*
(Goten) mumblegrumblemumble... Youlldieforhurtingherevilp...dontworrypearlillprotectyou.... *punches out into the air.*
(GE) *sighs, and walks over to Goten’s ear. She takes a deep breathe* GOTEN, WAKE UP!!!!!
(Goten)*bolts upwards* Huh? What??
*GE sighs again, and explains the situation to hum. Goten’s eyes widen, filled with hope. He nods vigorously.*
(GE) Good. Then here’s what we’re going to do...

Part 49

*The day has finally arrived. All have quit their jobs. Evil P was willing....er, unwillingly forced to be willing to help. He was released from his containment tube, and he walked outside with the rest of them. Insight re-capsulized the house and tucked it under her sash in its box. Pearl’s face was downcast. GE’s was anxious. Every little noise made her whip around.*
(Insight)*in private telepathy conversation to GE* <Did you talk to him?>
(GE) <Yeah.>
(Insight) <So he’s willing?>
(GE) <More then willing....>
(Insight) <Then why are you so nervous?>
(GE) <I’m no->
(Insight) <Who's that behind you?>
(GE) <HUH???? WHERE?> *whips around.*
(Insight) <Not nervous, huh?>
*GE blushes*
(Pearl) Well guys, I guess this is it...
(GE) Yeah...
(Pearl) We’d better get this over with. *Sigh*
(GE&Insight) No!
(Pearl) *taken aback* Guys, we’ve got to get back to our dimension...
(GE) Yeah yeah yeah...but let’s wait a bit, ok?
(Pearl) *suspiciously* Why?
(GE) Uh....cause....
(Insight) You want to say good-bye to this Bardock, huh?
(SE) *face turns crimson*
(Insight) <Oh...so that's why you’re so jumpy...>
(SE) >:b
(Pearl) Heh...yeah...
(SE) Well, don’t you want to at least say good-bye to Goten, Pearl?
(Pearl) Well....yeah, but I’m afraid....I might start....crying in front of him....
(Insight) Then cry.
(Pearl) That’d show weakness.
(Insight) No, that’s showing emotion. That’s showing you care about him. Showing weakness would be something like....*thinks for a minute, then snaps fingers and walks over to Evil P. She conjures up an illusionary egg, and he clutches his stomach and whines. Insight smirks and walks back over to Pearl* Something like that.
(SE) Yeah....you care about Goten, right? To show him that you’re going to miss him is not weakness. It’s showing him that you love him-
(?????) As much as I love you.
(Pearl) Goten!

Part 50

*Pearl and Goten rush towards each other in a deep embrace. SE sighs with relief, and Insight smiles approvingly*
(Insight) Good plan. I can see where this is going...
(SE) Yeah...thanks.
(??????) Oh good.... you haven’t left yet!
(SE) Huh? *Turns around* Bardock! *The two hug*
(Bardock) I’m jealous of me...I get to have you all to myself in that dimension...I wish you could stay, but I know that your Bardock is truly that one.
(SE) *blush* Yeah...
(Bardock) Well, at least let me kiss you good-bye.
(SE) Sure!*The two draw closer, and kiss. SE’s eyes are glazed over as they pull apart. She giggles*
*Insight walks over to Evil P*
(Insight) You know what to do, right?
(Evil P) Yeah yeah yeah...Do you think I’m stupid? Wait, don’t answer that.
(Insight) Wise choice.
(Evil P) *smirks* I notice your boyfriend isn’t here.
(Insight) *shrugs* He’s not my boyfriend, and I’m not surprised.
(Evil P) *In shock that he couldn’t get Insight mad*
(Insight) Hey, I’ve changed, all right? So I don’t get embarrassed as easily. More then can be said for you...
(Evil P) *blushes*
(Insight) See what I mean?

Part 51

*Pearl and Goten are still hugging, Pearl crying, and Goten’s eyes watering. (Remeber, he knows the plan...he’d be just as moved, if not more, then Pearl if he didn’t.) SE’s waved good-bye to Bardock, and Bardock went to stand in the distance. Insight’s making some final checks on the machine. A dark shape looms over her, and sneaks up quietly. She takes no notice. It rests its hand on her shoulder. She jumps a foot into the air, then whips around and unleashes two very fast punches. The attacker is just barely able to grab her by the wrists and halt her motion. She tries to free her wrists, but the attacker has a strong grip.*
(Insight) Who the-*actually looks to see who it is* -Piccolo!
(Piccolo) *releases her wrists* What was that? Are you always that jumpy?
(Insight) Yeah. I mean, no. I mean, oh, it’s confusing. Yes, I usually do that *voice goes slightly angry* when people sneak up on me...
(Piccolo) *grins*
(Insight) *voice turns normal again* ...But I’m just nervous about this whole ordeal. Anything could go wrong...
(Piccolo) *gravely* Yeah.
(Insight)*in a "matter-of-fact" tone of voice* Didn’t expect you to show.
(Piccolo) *switches positions* Well, although I may be your sensei in that world, your mine in this one. I at least owe you a good-bye.
(CE) A good-bye kiss you mean!!
*CE shoves Piccolo forward into Insight, who teleports behind him and grabs his shoulder pad to stabilize him, while using her other arm to grab CE by the wings*
(CE) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
*Piccolo yells in pain, clutching his ears.*
(CE) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
(Insight) Bardock...Mind lending a hand here?
(CE) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
*Bardock walks over in fron of CE and smiles his Super-Deluxe-Hunk-Prince Charming-Sweep-her-off-her-feet-smile (TM) at her, and CE immediately reverts to SE, and her eyes glaze over*
(SE) Bardooooooock...BARDOCK BARDOCK BARDOCK!!!

Part 52


(Insight) *looks at Pearl and Goten, then Evil P. She quickly grabs up SE by the tail* We need to book it! Come on! *Waves good-bye to Piccolo* This is where we part ways...
(Piccolo) Yeah. *Twinkles his fingers in return.* Best of luck...
*Bardock sadly waves as SE blows him a kiss*
(Pearl) Well...good-bye Goten...I love you...
(Goten) And I you...
*The two draw together for one “last” kiss. SE nods to both Evil P and Insight. Insight throws up a shield around the five of them, to protect Piccolo and Bardock from the blast, as well as contain it. Evil P gathers up energy.*
(Evil P) HiiiiiiiiYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
*He throws the energy at the machine. It absorbs the power and starts to buck violently*
(Pearl) What the....Goten?
*Goten grins*
(Pearl) Insight, he’s still in here!
(Insight) No duh. Brilliant deduction, Holmes. Or should I say, Son?
(Pearl)::blush:: But the reaction won’t-
(Insight) -It will now...
(Pearl) What? What do you mean? How? Was it...
*Insight points to SE, who shyly smiles. Pearl’s eyes go big. The machine gives one final buck and explodes...*
