A stranger lives within your eyes
Unfamiliar and strange to me
The words you speak are alien
Another language I do not understand

Blackened skies hide the sun
Of our once bright and peaceful lives
Chaos thrives upon us now
As the rift between us grows

Misunderstanding is the heavy fog
That has clouded both our visions
Blind to each other we stumble,
The path to peace never so hard to find

Although we have grown apart,
I must admit we are who we are
I am sad to say we will never change
To suit each other's tastes

The look on your face betrays you
I confess we share this one thing
Our hearts both fill with sorrow
As we regretfully acknowledge the end
