X-Wing Collector´s CD-ROM
It´s the classic space combat simulator from Lucas Arts. I have had it for a long time and had much fun with this amazing game. I enjoyed the cool but very difficult missions, but the best are still the deathstar missions.

CHEATS: Type "WIN" while in flight to get complete invulnerability (I´m not sure if it works!)

TIE Fighter Collector´s CD-ROM
In the sequel to X-Wing you are a pilot of the imperial navy and have to deal with various conflicts like the rebels, pirates, smugglers and even traitors from within the Empire. The game has better graphics than the prequel, but it´s very easy to complete.

X-Wing Collector´s Series
This compilation includes the games X-Wing, TIE Fighter and a stripped down version of X-Wing vs. TIE fighter - Flight school. This editions of X-Wing and TIE Fighter areusing an enhanced X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Balance of Power graphic engine that is capable of Direct 3D acceleration. This makes the games a bit better. Flight school is not really good, it includes only the training missions of X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and in multiplayer you can play only players with Flight School, but not over the internet.

X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter
According to many people the best spacecombat simulator ever. It has great graphics, superb textures and - best of all - a multiplayer mode. A maximum of 8 players can fight with or against each other over LAN, direct link, or the Internet. In the Zone I´m very often in the Rebel Base, BoP: Avenger Squadron and other rooms. My XvT name in the Zone is Glzmo, if you wish to play me. I´m a Commander of the European Space Crusaders Squadron. It is one of the best X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and Balance of Power Squadrons in the universe! If you are an European HOT SHOT-PILOT, you will just have to join this great squadron!!!

X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power
The Add-on disk for XvT is a great addition to the present game. It´s even more fun to play and brings new ships, like the B-wing, modified frigates and corvettes, a light Calamari, a shipyard and even a Super star Destroyer with it. There´re lots of new single- and multiplayer missions, and two 15 cooperative mission campaigns with cutscenes, one rebel and one imperial. There are new textures for all spacecraft, too, so the game looks even better. 3D accelerators are supported via D3D and the framerate is better.
If you are a real XvT and/or BoP pilot, then you will have to join the European Space Crusaders XvT & BoP Squad!

Rebel Assault
Cool Arcade styled Star Wars game. Graphics where the best for the time the game was released and fighting the Empire makes much fun.

CHEATS: When the Lucas Arts logo appears, push the joystick up, fire, down, fire, left, fire, right, fire (center, fire). Now you can press "+" during the game to restore health, "ESC" skips level

Rebel Assault II - The Hidden Empire
Rebel Assault II is much better than the nearly perfect prequel. It´s much fun and the graphics are just fine. There is a complex and exciting story, too.

Shadows of the Empire
An once exclusive game for N64 was converted for PC-CD ROM systems with 3D boards. Although the story isn´t 100% the same as the one in Steve Perry´s book, it´s still an amazing game.

CHEATS: Press "ESC" and the window on the left side of the screen will tell you the cheats, nice work of the programmers!

Dark Forces
3D Action game where you have to think a bit to reach your goals. It was great fun playing it for the first time and so it is these days. It was the 1st 3D action game where you could jump everywhere you wanted. It has some scary levels in it!!!

Jedi Knight (Dark Forces II)
It´s even better than Dark Forces, you can use the Force and swing your lightsaber. You can also duel other Jedis over LAN or the Internet. The graphics are very good and support 3D hardware accelerators over D3D.

Mysteries of the Sith
The first add-on pack for Jedi Knight brings great colored lighting effects with 3D accelerators, some new characters and weapons onto your screen. You are Captain Kyle Katarn and have to help a New Republic base, which is under attack by the Empire. You don´t have to kill all the Imps yourself, Rebel troops are there for help.

Yoda Stories
Nice game for brakes, but nothing to play the whole day. The graphics are very bad, sounds are acceptable, but it´s quite a puzzling game. For Star Wars fans it´s a valuable CD, because it includes Making Magic of the Special Edition.

Star Wars Monopoly
It´s like the board game, with cutscenes from the special edition. The Boardgame is still better, though it makes fun to play the CD-ROM Edition in the Zone.

Star Wars Rebellion
The first strategy game in the Star Wars universe brings up the conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance once again. You choose either side and the game starts. The Empires´s base is on Coruscant every time, the rebellion´s HQs are randomly placed somewhere in the galaxy.
The goals for imperial players are: Destroy the Rebel Headquarters, capture Mon Mothma (leader of the Rebel Alliance) and Luke Skywalker
Rebel goals are: Capture Coruscant and imprison Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine
On first sight, the game seems to be very demotivating, but when you have played it for three hours, it turns out to be fun!
The greatest in the game are the various missions (Jedi training, assasination, sabotage, diplomacy, blockade, espionage,...) and, of course, the tactical part of the game, the space battles. OK, the graphics are not the best, but you can do a lot of things. Imagine a fleet of 10 Stardestroyers, 3 Interdictors, 2 SuperStardestroyers, some dreadnoughts and a whole lot of starfighters facing a large fleet of Mon Calamari cruisers, corvettes, frigates, transports, even the new "fish ship" that is a bit better then a SuperStardestroyer, hundreds of X-Wings, Y-Wings, A-Wings and B-Wings! You can assign a target to every single ship, or you can order whole flightgroups to fight out the battle. There are also some pre-programmed tactical maneuvers that could be chosen, if you wanted.
A nice effect is the Deathstar wich - surprise - is able to blow up whole planets. The only bad thing is, that if you blow up too much planets, uprisings start on Empire´s planets, and if that happenes, you can´t get anything from them. Without the mines and raffineries available for use, there is no money to keep your fleet, the deathstar, and other things in shape and you wouldn´t stand any chance against your opponent anymore.
Multiplayer battles are possible over the internet, LAN (IPX, TCP/IP), direct modem connection and serial connection. Be warned, as in single player, you´ll have to play a game at least a few hours, before it gets to an end (at least if both parties are equally good strateges and tacticians).
Well, I can tell you, the game rocks!

Rogue Squadron 3D
Though it is set between the movies STAR WARS and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, it is the inofficial sequel to Shadows of the Empire.
You are Luke Skywalker, Co-Leader of Rogue Squadron. The game is all about starfighters. You can choose between the X-Wing, A-Wing, Y-Wing, Landspeeder (=Snowspeeder), a prototype V-Wing and, as it appears, altough not accessible during the first few missiond, the Millenium Falcon. The game is base on inside-planet-atmosphere misiions. The gameplay is similar to the flight missions in Shadows of the Empire, not like the X-Wing missions at all.
The graphics are very good, even at closeup view, but the "fog" effect is very annoying. You can't see coming enemies, altough your wingman already start shooting at them. Also the dithering is very visible, especially on TIE Bombers.

Cheats

Rogue Squadron is the latest game from LucasArts that puts you in the driver's seat of your favorite Star Wars spacecraft. Here are a few cheats:

Want to take the Millennium Falcon for a spin? At the game's password entry screen, type in farmboy, and the fastest ship in the galaxy is yours.

How about switching over to the dark side? After executing the "farmboy" cheat, simply type in tiedup at the password screen, select the Millennium Falcon, and press your joystick up, and you can test drive an imperial TIE interceptor.

Thought that was fun? How about stomping around in one of those AT-ST walkers? Just type in chicken at the password screen and it's yours.

Droid Works (Demo)
Droid Works is a game intended for kids. Still it seems to be fun for Star Wars fans. You are a rebel Java-spy, that builds droids. You have to assemble droids from various parts and you may test them on a training course and send them on misiions. Misiions and trainings are held in a 3D perspective, similar to Jedi Knight, which, at least in the demo, doesn't seem to support 3D Hardware accelerators. During missions, you control your droid and find new parts for him and his mechanical buddies.
