An attacking army bombards enemy lines in the hope of breaking them before launching a full scale attack.
Reserves, Victory Points, Random Game Length, Fortifications and Preliminary Bombardment special rules are used.
1 Set up the board as normal. Roll D6s to see who gets which board edge.
2 The defender may set up anywhere within 12" of his own board edge and may place any Fortifications within this zone. Up to half the units may be held in reserve.
3 The attacker sets up at least 18" away from this zone. The gap is no-man's land.
4 The attacker goes first and may use the rules for Preliminary Bombardment at the start of any turn. Any unit (friend or foe) with at least one model within the defender's deployment zone or in no-man's land is subject to these rules.
Determine a winner using Victory Points. The attacker gets the points value of any of his units in the defender's deployment zone at the end of the game as additional victory points. The defender gets the points value of any of his units in his own deployment zone at the end of the game as additional victory points.
The defender may bring on reserves as per the normal rules.
The game lasts a variable number of turns.
Units falling back do so towards their deployment zones.
Note: Gaining Victory Points For Friendly Troops.
