OVERVIEW

Two warring factions continue an age-old conflict. A third party, with a minor presence in the area watches with interest. Should either of these two powers destroy the other, they might be the next target for their armies. The balance of power must be kept.

SCENARIO SPECIAL RULES

Victory Points are used. Players use the Standard Mission Organisation Chart. The third player gets half the points cost of the other players to pick a force.

SET-UP

1 Set up scenery as normal. The two main players roll D6s, the highest roller choosing a table edge. The loser gets the opposite edge.

2 These two players roll D6s. The loser deploys one unit within 12" of his table edge. These two players then take turns to deploy units within 12" of their respective table edges.

3 The two main players roll D6s to see who goes first. The third player always goes last.

MISSION OBJECTIVE

The players with the large forces use Victory Points to determine a winner. The units of the third player do not count towards Victory Points. However, the third player automatically wins if one of the players wins by a hundred victory points or less.

RESERVES

The third player may move units on by either table edge perpendicular to the other players' deployment edges. Units may be moved on at the start of any turn.

GAME LENGTH

The game lasts six turns.

LINE OF RETREAT

Troops that are forced to fall back do so towards their own table edge. The third player's forces withdraw to the nearest of the two entry zones.

INTERVENTION ON CROWEHELL

For a hundred years the Hive Fleets of the Tyranids crept down through the outer rim towards the planet Crowehell. Fighting them all the way were the few Space Marine chapters located this far out and the might of the Imperial Guard. It is at Crowehell that the fate of the region will be decided. Billions of Imperial troops are amassed to meet the swarm and already the solar system is littered with debris from ship fighting. Either the humans, led by Canoness Rosslesall will stop the advance and burst from the world in a cleansing action, or the Tyranids will consume them and march onward. Secret watchers see a third way. With careful manipulation, the two factions will slaughter each other and a war of attrition will result in a stalemate. The fate of the entire sector hangs in the balance.
