A shock attack is launched on an enemy position.
Reserves, Victory Points, Obstacles and Fortifications and special rules are used.
1 Set up the board as normal.
2 The Defender deployment zone lies anywhere at least 6" from any board edge. The Defender deploys first, placing Obstacles and Fortifications as he sees fit (maximum 1 per squad recommended).
3 The Attacker may deploy anywhere within 6" of any board edge. Any unit with the Deep Strike or Infiltration ability may be held in reserve.
4 The Attacker goes first.
Determine a winner using Victory Points.
Any Infiltrator units held in reserve by the Attacker may enter via any board edge on the first turn. Units with the Deep Strike ability may enter play as per the normal reserve rules (on a 4+ on turn 2, etc).
The game lasts 6 turns.
Attacker units fall back to the closest board edge. Defender units fall back to the center of the board and will rally automatically if they reach this point.
