When we started this project, we had the choice of either continuing on Sten's interpretation of classical Greek mythology through another character's eyes, or casting aside the book entirely and inventing a new myth in the modern world using Sten's book as a guide. We decided eventually to .... In doing this project, we also included some references from the texts that we've read this semester (The Reader, etc...). Why should we confine ourselves to Greek mythology? Nadolny certainly didn't. After talking with Nadolny we realized that all literature is not created with a deeper meaning in mind. Nadolny writes purely for his enjoyment, and so we followed suit.
